Sunday Share - Stamping With Friends at Coffee and Cards

This past week I had some new stampers at my Coffee and Cards events and was prepared with some fun options for them so they could have a great stamping experience - these events are meant for stampers of all levels and at the end of the time you will head out with cards for your giving box and new ideas to use the papers, tools and embellishments you have at home - win, win!!
The Experience Creativity Brochure has some great projects for new stampers and that's where they started - making note cards using the super pretty Magnolia Lane Cards & More packs and learning how to use the stamps and inks . . . . the greetings were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink - a nice ink pad for starting out as it doesn't need a lot of pressure to get really clear impressions. After making the two note cards, and seeing how they could turn the cards over for a different look, they were more than ready for the next set of cards!
I chose the Kerchief Card Kit to show what's available for free during Sale-a-Bration with a qualifying order and how easily you can make amazing cards from our kits! They loved the colours in this kit and couldn't wait to try more cards!
I shared this mini One Sheet Wonder with my stampers - using the so pretty Best Dressed 6" x 6" Designer Series Papers. You can make three cards very quickly from one sheet of paper with only a very small bit of scrap. Simply cut a 2" piece from the sheet, then trim to 5 1/2" inches. Cut the remaining piece at 2" across the 4" width to get two pieces 1 - 2" x 4"; the other 4" x 4".  I used some Old Olive Cardstock to coordinate with my chosen piece of DSP but you can pick any one of the coordinating colours listed on the DSP package. Stampin' Up! makes it so easy to mix and match your colours and know they will always look "right". I used Old Olive ink for the greetings which came from the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set. The flower is from Botanical Bliss Stamp Set.
The last choice for the event was this card which gave my stampers a bit of a different colouring option. I like showing them how to colour with the Watercolor Pencils and then finishing off using a Blender Pen - it makes for a nice soft finish to the images with no watery mess that some have when they first try to watercolour. We used the new Painted Poppies Stamp Set for the flower image from the Spring Mini Catalogue, and added some Peaceful Poppies Sequins for the bit of bling! The 4" x 3" DSP is from the See A Silhouette DSP in the Annual Catalogue - its full of bright cheerful papers that you will love turning into some cards for anyone. The papers also make great backgrounds for scrapbook layouts! The cardstock layer is Crushed Curry - a great match for the DSP. The greeting is from Peaceful Moments Stamp Set.
I hope you find some time to create this week - it's a great break from whatever else is going on in your world. Like something you've seen here? Please shop my online store link here or message me to help you place your order. I love to share special treats with you when you place online orders.

Book here for my next events in March and I'll have a place ready for you!

Happy stamping!

A New Watercolour Look with the Peaceful Poppies Suite

The Mini Catalogue Inspiration
Painted Poppies Suite

The Peaceful Poppies suite includes two bundles, plus tons of gorgeous accessories. This suite is so amazing we have to call it a super-suite! The Painted Poppies bundle (#153827) and Peaceful Moments bundle (#153824) are both stamp set and die bundles and they both coordinate with each other, as well as, with the other elements of the suite. Talk about a super-suite that really blooms with creativity!

The Painted Poppies bundle is ideal for techniques like watercolouring and colouring with Stampin' Blends. If you were at my special Painted Poppies class, we did both techniques using the Peaceful Poppies Elements too.

This lovely card features watercolouring, modified die, and modified embellishments techniques.I think you'll love the techniques and the beautiful card you'll create! Need some help?? Bring your project to my next Coffee and Cards Event (tomorrow or next month), and we can work on it together!

Happy Stamping!

Kylie's Demo Training Blog Hop February 2020 - Peaceful Poppies Suite

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Monthly Team Blog Hop! We are so happy that you could join us today as we share ideas and creative inspiration. We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from around the world taking part in training to reach some goals we have set. We really appreciate your support.

I'm Ginny Duncan from Maple Ridge, BC Canada. You may be starting here or have come from another blog - either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every idea that we are sharing today.
I was drawn to the Peaceful Poppies Suite from the moment I saw the Mini Catalogue cover at On Stage - I have always loved poppies - partly for the symbolism they represent as a reminder of our war veterans' sacrifices but also because they are such a vibrant flower in our gardens. And they can be so many colours!
Today's picture shares with you the cards we did in my special Painted Poppies class - and the optional scrapbook layout that some of my participants chose to do. Don't you love how the cards are so many different colours? My class participants were in awe of the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series papers we used, and were super happy to take some home to create more cards! The border print was perfect for the layout I chose to do with some of them - and they still have the other half sheet to make cards or feature on another layout page.

I showed a coordinating grid page for the focal layout as most of us like doing double page layouts in our scrapbooks - do you like double pages too or do you mostly do single pages??
I love being able to add in some of the coordinating products like the Peaceful Poppies Elements and Sequins to make the layouts special and I always try to have a bit of ribbon somewhere in my layouts. If you check out the cards, you will see I added some of the same Elements and Sequins, and ribbon to the cards we made . . . it was a really fun class to put on for everyone!
If you want to make your own cards or scrapbook pages, here is the link to the products we used and you can get your order started now, or contact me to place your order - but going direct is quicker and it will go right to your home!!

Thank you so much for visiting today! We have an awesome group  of Stampin' Up!® demonstrators from around the world, and I know you are going to love all their projects. Grab a cup of your favourite beverage and go through all the links. Remember you are currently on my page – Ginny Duncan and I appreciate all your comments!  See who is below my name to know where to go for your next inspiration.

Sunday Share - Some Valentine Card Ideas for YOU to Make!

In case you haven't noticed all the ads for flowers, chocolate, gourmet meals, wine and cards, then I'm here to remind you that Valentines Day is coming up this Friday and I have lots of ideas for you to create your own cards too.
I love this card!! It is made from the Sale-a-Bration Host set called Little Ladybug which is FREE with qualifying workshops of $375. It's easy to get to that amount if you invite friends, family - anyone who loves to make cards or scrapbook with you - and have them order some of their basic paper-crafting supplies. You can hold a workshop in your home, or in my studio (no cooking or cleaning!) or we can do an on line party where everyone orders and you get the host credits. Remind them that with Sale-a-Bration on, they can get free products too - just by buying their basics! And I send out thank you rewards to all shoppers on line at the end of each month so everyone wins!
New this month are the Coordinating Products that include Ladybug Dies so it's super easy to make some fun cards. Are ladybugs a good luck memory from your childhood?? They sure are for me and I got them both as soon as I could order :-)

Here's a quick video on the Little Ladybug stamps with some fun card ideas to try - you won't want to miss it!
The greeting on the card is from the Meant To Be Stamp set in the Annual Catalogue.
Here's some more ideas for you that I made using Meant To Be and Stitched Be Mine Dies - when you use the die with all the mini hearts outline, you are left with the small hearts - I saved them and made a spray of hearts on the top card!
This card features the die greeting from the Parisian Dies - love that we can mix things up and find the word we want in a different set . . . the hearts were die cut from the small heart in the Stitched Be Mine Dies. The papers on all the cards are in the Spring Mini called From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper - the "special" comes from the many papers that have foil embossing or background - and it only took a bit to die cut the hearts and use as strips and accents on all my cards.
Need a card for something other than Valentines Day?? Don't forget these papers make great anniversary, wedding and even engagement cards - any occasion that has "hearts" and "love" is a perfect time to grab these papers, punches and stamp sets and make your card . . . this one features the Heart Punch Pack Duo - and the punches work perfectly on some of the designs in the From My Heart papers - awesome idea!! And for a quick and easy 3" x 3" gift card, you can't beat the Heartfelt Lacy Stamp and a few of the sprinkled die-cuts from the previous card idea.
Sign up now for my Coffee and Cards events - this month's dates are February 18th and 20th - you can book either 1 - 3 pm or 7 - 9 pm either day - can't wait to see you!! RSVP on my Events Page (link here) so I know you are coming.

Need some help with a project? Bring it to my Coffee and Cards events and we can work though it - I'd love to help you.

Let me know in the comments which cards are your favourite - and what kind of cards you make for Valentines Day. Need to Shop Now? Click on the button on my sidebar and get started. If you need the current catalogues let me know - I'd be happy to get them to you so you can flip through for ideas and products too . . . .

Happy stamping!!

Sunday Share - You Can Make these Cards Too!

It's been awhile since I visited The Wesbrook to make cards with the ladies there so it was fun to catch up with them last Thursday and share some holiday memories and see how they liked all the snow (they didn't!!).
Here's the first card we made - I went back to the Annual Catalogue for my inspiration and the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Papers did the trick - two really different cards from one great paper with it's shine and textured embossed images on one side of the papers. Makes it hard to choose which side to use . . . . this card has a definite masculine feel to it and can be used for any age so add one to your box of cards soon!
The next card was definitely more girly with the soft Very Vanilla card base, the Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon and the hand coloured poppy from the new Painted Poppies Stamp set - my ladies did not want to cover up the pretty hummingbirds in the paper pattern but decided the poppy was a worthwhile addition. We stamped the poppy on the envelope too for some extra fun. Sentiments on both cards came from the new Peaceful Moments Stamp set - part of the Peaceful Poppies Suite of amazing and coordinated products!
I brought some valentines treats for them since my next visit will be near the end of the month - and they loved the treat bags from the January Paper Pumpkin kit (I think they loved the Ghirardelli chocolates inside more though)! They will be able to re-use the treat bags to share some chocolate goodies with family or add a gift card - it's the perfect size! They were so easy to put together and there are 20 in the kit - plus there are 10 really cute gift card size cards to make with envelopes. The Paper Pumpkin Fan Club Facebook page (join if you do Paper Pumpkins!) has so many alternative options this month that you will love to try at least some of them!

Sign up for a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription and earn FREE Sale-a-Bration products of your choice! Check the links here to get started on your kits. I love getting them each month and offer to make the kits with my customers so we can PP together!
I have only ONE opening left for my current Stamp Club starting February 12/13. Definite opening for Thursday morning but we can squeeze you in for the Wednesday late afternoon group if that works better for you - check with me for all the details or more info on my Events page here.  It's the best way to get the products you want on a budget as you commit to purchasing only $25/month for 8 months in 2020 and one month you get all the hostess benefits without hosting anything (no cooking or cleaning - it's all in my studio!). Can't wait to share some creativity with you!

Let me know what you are stamping in the comments - I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for visiting today, and if you need a new Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-Bration flyer let me know and I'll get one to you:-)

Happy stamping!
