Giving Thanks With Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop

I REALLY wanted to showcase the Rings of Love Designer Series Paper that you can earn for free in the Sale-a-bration flyer ending August 31st but I was afraid it might sell out before our team blog hop went live, so even though this pretty card is my intro to making a card for Thanksgiving, it won't be my featured product.

Welcome to another Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop - everyone always share some fabulous card ideas so enjoy this month's where our theme is either Thanksgiving or Halloween. I am sharing a card idea that you can send to someone that you won't see on Thanksgiving to let them know you are thinking of them.

A quick look at the Rings of Love DSP on my card  - if you still have an order ready to go in, you can't go wrong choosing this pack of multi-seasoned papers to use. The fall one is so pretty with the leaves turning colour and I paired it with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder in the July-December Mini and some Soft Suede Cardstock and Ink.

My featured suite today is the Texture Chic Collection in the Annual Catalogue - it's perfect for all seasons and everyone in my class loved it when I featured it last week with cards for every season! I picked the slimline style to show off more of the pattern in the Texture Chic DSP and give me more space to add my small grouping of the stamped and die cut oak leaves feature, which I layered over the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper Die Cut included in the Season of Chic Bundle.

I used Soft Succulent for my card base (8 1/2" x 7" scored at 3 1/2") and matched it to one of the Slimline Envelopes. I added a bit of the DSP on the flap for a quick coordination fix! The ribbon is Soft Succulent Open weave Ribbon cut down the centre to make two thin strips - now I have a piece left for another card 😉

And inside the card - some quick stamping (and stamping off too) to get ready to sign -

Here's one of the cards I did during my Craft and Chat event night - the cards were all done on the Textured Chic Memories & More Cards & Envelopes. Love those envelopes with the gold trims! This card pulls the DSP with the fall images - don't they look like I've stamped them??

If you need any of the products shown, I'd love to have you shop with me - simply click on the picture below to go to the product list for the featured card and my store. Use my current Host Code CJVSCDUE when your order is under $200 to get in the monthly draws to share Host Rewards - you will be glad you did!!

Thanks for stopping by today and I'd love to know what you think of the cards I made - comments are most welcome!!

Happy stamping!!

Sunday Share - Kits Collection Magic Time With My Granddaughter

Our granddaughter Vanessa graduated this year and as part of her gift I thought it would be fun to make the Celebrate Today Magnetic Board with her so she could have a vision board, or even something to keep her schedules front and centre as she starts post-secondary,  We had a great time making these together in the trailer when we visited Kelowna a couple of weeks ago.

The Celebrate Today Magnet Board Kit #159335 includes supplies to create a magnet board designed to organize aspects of your daily life in a beautiful way. With interchangeable messages, backgrounds, and envelopes, you can decorate your magnet board to best suit your style and needs! Vanessa really liked the card she found that will let her display her timetable front and centre! And when she's done, she can change it to another message . . .  there are so many to choose from!

Kit includes:

*Predesigned projects
*Step-by-step instructions
*Precut pieces (No prep work! Get right to crafting)
* Makes 1 framed magnet board
*Enough adhesive to complete projects
* Includes 6 magnet clips
* Includes 2 image sticker sheets and 4 sentiment sticker sheets (1 each for the following languages: Dutch, English, French, and German)
* Includes 24 double-sided 4" x 3" cards
* Includes 2 sheets of 12" x 12" paper
*A printed designer box for storage or crafting on the go
* Coordinating colors: Basic Black, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, Mint Macaron, Smoky Slate

Getting started - making choices was the hardest part. We made lots of changes as we tried placing the different pieces on the board! We both opted for the same background paper as it was fairly neutral. But we kept the other sheet behind so we can easily change it out any time!

The Kits Collection by Stampin’ Up! kits are perfect for new crafters, busy crafters, or crafters who want quick and easy projects. All-inclusive project kits have everything you need in one box! Give as a gift or try them yourself. Kits are based on availability and sold online - not in the catalogues.

Order today by using this link directly to my store - https://www.stampinup.ca/categories/shop-products/other-products/kits-collection?demoid=2206206 and don't forget to use my Current Host Code CJVSCDUE if your order is less than $200 to get in on my monthly draws for shared rewards.
A happy moment - all done!! Mine is below - love how they are both so different - it's so easy to personalize our Kit Collections!!

Stampin' Up! has a year long campaign in 2022 encouraging us to share our papercrafting moments and I thought this was a perfect one to share. My granddaughter has never done any kind of kit crafting and really had fun putting her project together and choosing how she wanted it to look! #ShareYourMoment

Who would you like to share a crafting moment with?

Remember that Sale-a-bration is still on until August 31st and you can earn free products with every $60 order - online, or direct with me! Don't miss out on your favourite FREE items!

Happy Stamping!

Sunday Share - Abigail Rose Suite Makes Vintage Easy!

I'm not sure that I'm really a vintage person when it comes to home décor, or card making supplies but I do like the Designer Series Papers in this suite for their neutral palette and the soft look you can get by adding minimal colour. And pretty much every post I saw on Pinterest described the suite as enabling us to create vintage projects, so that's where I got the idea from.

Here's a look at the suite offered in the Annual Catalogue on p 56-57 where you can see how the neutrals shine with just a hint of pink!

The concept artists did a fabulous job of creating some samples for us that you can easily re-create at home for some fairly quick cards. Even without the Cottage Rose Bundle you could fussy cut and lightly colour some of the images in the papers and be ready with some pretty cards in no time.  Here's a quick video from Stampin' Up! to give you a glimpse behind the scenes! (If you are reading this in my newsletter, then click on my blog link here to see the video)

My cards today show you how quickly you can pull one together with absolutely no colouring that will work for any occasion, then I did the same card again except added some Dark Petal Pink and Soft Seafoam Blender Pens to the DSP.  I really like how the background seems to pop with the added colour - which one do you like best?

Each card has a bit of White Frayed Ribbon to ground the greeting, and I added some Champagne Rhinestones for a bit of bling. The labels for the greetings came from Stylish Shapes Dies and Meadow Dies and I found both sentiments in the Celebrating You stamp set.

Remember that Sale-a-bration is still on until the end of August but don't delay as some items could sell out and you don't want to be disappointed!  Click on the Flyer image on my sidebar to flip through all the choices - or ask me for a paper copy.  Yes!! I still have some waiting for you! Earn your FREE items by shopping either the Annual Catalogue or the Holiday Min (so many choices - so little time!!)  and for every $60 you spend you can choose a FREE item from the flyer - love all the choices we have this time 😉💕

Check in with me for my next Craft and Chat - the 3rd Tuesday each month at 7:00 pm on Zoom. If you aren't getting my invites let me know to add you to my list and you can create along with a great group of crafters on line - so much fun!!

Click on the image below to shop for products used today or to go to my online store and make up your own order. If your order is under $200 please use my current Host Code (shown in my sidebar) and I will add you to my draws for shared Host Rewards.

Enjoy the last weeks of summer and happy stamping!
