Sunday Share - Creating 12 Tags in 10 Minutes or Less For Holiday Gifts!!

This should have been a Sunday Share but I forgot to schedule it and only realized today that it was still waiting for me to hit that final button - so here it is just a bit late!!

Are you needing some tags for gifts but don't want to run to the store to pick some up?  Check out my my pictures here for a really quick way to make your own tags at home - while using up some of your Christmas themed supplies.  They aren't the super fancy kind but they do the job well and most people don't keep tags do they??

Start with a sheet of 12" x 12" Basic White Cardstock and cut it down to 12" x 7". You will also need to get two strips of Christmas-y patterned paper 1 1/4" x 12" for each strip (I used the two sides from the Painted Christmas DSP carried over from last year). Glue the strips to the long outside edges of the cardstock - if there is a right side up on the design you want the outside edge to be the "top".

Cut through the centre of the cardstock at the 3 1/2" mark so you have two pieces 3 1/2" by 12".
Stack the two pieces so you can cut them into tag size two at a time. They will each measure 2" by 3 1/2". I did cut them slightly smaller than 2" so they would slide easily into my punch - punch the top of each tag using any punch on hand - mine is the retired Fancy Tag Topper Punch.
Stamp the To and From on each tag - I had room to add Merry Christmas to mine using the stamps from the latest "From The North Pole" November Paper Pumpkin kit.
It's great to have a selection of exclusive stamps to use from the kits! Just one more reason to sign up for the kits each month - click the link here or message me for more info!
The last step is to add your choice of ribbon or twine to the top of the tag - I used Glue Dots to hold my ribbon in place, keeping it flat in case I want to mail some to a friend!
It probably took me longer to write out the details than it did to make the tags LOL! I hope you will try to make some tags too as they are so quick and easy to make a bunch at once - and they do make a nice gift to give 💕🎁💌

The Last Chance Clearance is still on for the Holiday Mini but some items are already sold out - I'd recommend you shop online at my store so you don't have to wait for a group order this month and maybe miss out - and when you use my Host Code for orders under $200 I'll enter you in my draw near the end of the month for shared Host Rewards - an awesome deal for you!

Regular customers will get the new Spring Mini catalogue and Sale-a-bration Flyer in the mail near the end of the month - if you haven't ordered from me in the past 6 months, I will have a few catalogues here that you can pick up after Christmas. Just give me a quick call or message that you are on the way!

For more tag inspiration watch for my newsletter later this week where I'm sharing a traditional colour combination perfect for your gifting - a small gift box or bag of handmade tags makes a great little hostess gift to take to any party during the season or give to a co-worker or neighbour - especially to those who have admired your creativity all year long!!

Happy stamping!

Sunday Share - Good Things Come In Small Packages

It's time to share the latest Paper Pumpkin kit with you as we near the end of the month - can you believe that December is just a few sleeps away???  How did that happen??

It's so true that some of the best gifts come in the smallest packages and this new Paper Pumpkin kit is designed to help you create that "cool" factor all year round!

Create fun gift card holders to personalize each gift with reversible boxes and paper bands that make for a unique design every time. This month's kit comes with enough supplies for you to make 16 different gift card holders (2 each of 8 designs).

It contains an all-occasion stamp set and Garden Green Classic Stampin' Spot, in addition to precut paper pieces, twine, and belly bands with enough adhesive for each project. Additional coordinating colours are Balmy Blue, Basic Gray, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, and Tahitian Tide. The finished boxes (size: 3⅝" x 2½" x ½") are perfect for stepping up your gift card presents.

**Please Note: The instructions included in each kit don’t show where to place the label on the inside of the box. The unboxing video does demonstrate this step, which is a great resource to use for a more detailed kit assembly. Videos with links to alternate projects are sent to all subscribers about a week after the kit ships.

If that isn't enough "cool" for you, then check out the add-on special that will make the kit super fun for you and your crafting friends!

Take your crafting even further with the Good Things Cards & Envelopes add-on which includes 16 cards (4 each of 4 designs) sized 4¼" x 5½" and 16 coordinating envelopes.

The colours that coordinate with this add-on are Balmy Blue, Basic Gray, Blushing Bride, Garden Green. This add-on is only available to current Paper Pumpkin subscribers and is offered while supplies last.

Pick up a prepaid subscription (1, 3, 6, or 12 months) from my online store, or set up a monthly subscription. To receive the December kit, you must subscribe or activate your prepaid code before 10 December. Setting up a monthly subscription is the way to go for now - and when the next Sale-a-bration comes in January 2023 you can get a prepaid subscription and earn free product too!

Check my blog sidebar for the current Host Code and use it when you order online so I can include you in my draws for shared Host Rewards each month - it's a great perk for shopping with me in addition to my thank you in the mail!

If you've ordered from me in the past 6 months, then I will have a new Spring Mini catalogue and Sale-a-bration flyer on it's way to you - watch for it near the end of December and then get ready for some Spring awesomeness! If you haven't placed orders with me, I will have a few available for pick up at my home.

Some of you know we are hoping to move to a smaller space in the next couple of months so we are listing and trying to declutter our current space meaning I might not have lots of time to connect with you on Zoom or online. My crafting studio will be the biggest declutter of all - no one but another crafter can understand why we need all this "stuff" at arms length (not hidden away where we can't see it!).

If you have any questions or need some help, do reach out to me . . . . . and watch for the Last Chance Sale starting December 1st for the Holiday Mini catalogue! I'll send you all the links on the 1st!

Happy stamping!

Birthdays Are The Theme - Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop

If you are needing to make some quick birthday cards then check today's post for some inspiration!!  Our Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop features birthday cards which we always need to have on hand . . .  who likes the thought of running out to the store at the last minute to pick up a card or two??

I sure don't and that's why I usually turn to our Annual Catalogue for all the amazing year-round products and get my inspiration from the Designer Series Papers, the Stamps and Dies or Punches, and the fabulous artwork from the Stampin' Up! concept artists on each page!

I needed some cards for men in my life, so turned to the He's The Man Suite on p 78-79 . The Specialty Designer Series Papers were perfect for some quick cards where I only had to add a stamped greeting found in the Celebrating You set.

Here's another one - same design and different die-cuts!

And a close-up of those cool die-cuts!

I'm sure you could have these cards ready to give before you could grab your purse, keys and get to the nearest store 😉. You really need to take a second look at the DSP because it has two sheets of punch out Die Cuts to coordinate with the DSP - look how the card below doesn't need any stamped greeting - it's all DSP!

And those die-cuts are perfect for adding to your scrapbook layouts too . . . I keep all my die-cuts in a Clear Envelope in the pack of DSP - always ready for me to use!

I can't forget cards for any of my girl friends - somehow they seem easier to make or maybe it's that I have a few (well, maybe more than a few LOL!) stamps with floral images. The card below is made with one of my favourite sets called Painted Poppies on p 29 and the greeting is stamped then die cut using the Charming Sentiments Bundle on p 38 - love the effect the dies give to the words! The background DSP is from Tea Boutique 6" x 6" DSP.

I hope these cards inspire you to make a few to keep on hand - they are quick and easily adaptable to the products you have in your stash!

Click on the picture below to get all the products I used today -

If you need any inspiration I'd love to help you - just message or give me a call 💕. You can also check out my Zoom Craft and Chat events - let me know to add your email to my invite list!

Happy stamping!

Sunday Share - Joyful Flurry For Quick and Fun Snowflake Cards

I'm sharing some really cute cards today that you can whip up in no time - or take a bit longer if you've got the extra time to create . . . . but at this time of year sometimes it's really good to have those quick and easy card ideas so you can make a few whenever you can sit down at your crafting desk.

The Joyful Flurry Bundle is a perfect pick - it comes with a super Stamp Set that has lots of snowflake images and some greetings too and then there's the Dies that work with the stamps, but also have some fun twists to the normal die cuts. Take a look and see how some give you the chance to lift the images for a 3-D effect - cool isn't it?? You can order the bundle at this link!

I picked one of the smaller snowflakes to stamp on my first card - it's all stamping except for the greeting label which I die cut - but just as easy to trim it on your own if you don't have a die cutting machine or don't want to bring it out for the cards.  I made it a slim-line card which works well with our Slimline Envelopes in the Annual Catalogue - picked the white one and added a strip of the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper that I used as one of the layers on my cards.

I used Pacific Point, Coastal Cabana, Pool Party and Fresh Freesia inks for my snowflakes.

My second card took advantage of the coordinating dies in the bundle - so quick to stamp then die cut for some extra dimension to my card. I did use the same Storybook Gnomes DSP and added some Snowflake Specialty Vellum to soften the look before popping the snowflakes with some Dimensionals. My hit of bling comes from some White Glimmer Paper die cut snowflakes which really ups the sparkle on the card!

Here's a quick video from Stampin' Up! to show you a bit more of this bundle -  if you are reading this in my newsletter then click here to go to my blog where you can find the video!

and here's the link to my store for you to get all your needs for making your Christmas cards and other cards too - birthdays, anniversaries and more still happen even when we are super focused on the holidays! You don't want to run out of the basics or adhesives while you are busy creating!!

My invites for Craft and Chat on Tuesday November 22nd are out now - if you didn't get one, please let me know so I can add you to the list! I'd love to see you on Zoom and you can created my projects using your own supplies, or just watch and wait for the handouts which come the next day. Qualifying orders that use my current Host Code PMTNQQXT get in the draws to share Host Rewards each month - it's so much fun when the wheel picks your name and you get to choose some free products plus online orders get my thank you in the mail too!

Let me know if I can help with your projects - one more thing you can mark off your "to-do" lists!

Happy stamping,

Ginny

Sunday Share - Lights Aglow Suite Will Make Your Projects Glow!

It's not often that I see a suite of products and say "I want it all" but that's what happened when I saw this suite on p 30-31 in the Holiday Mini catalogue . . . .  take a look and I'm sure you'll agree that the bundled stamps and dies give you so many choices and the Glimmer, Foil and Designer Series Papers will definitely give you the GLOW factor you are looking for!! Here's a look at the suite and this link will take you to my online website/store so you can see all the details. Sadly some items are waiting for new inventory to arrive so not available at the moment but put them on your wish list as they will be back in stock!

The concept artists were really busy giving us some great inspiration for us to make and share -

I've been adding the Glimmer Specialty Papers to my cards - even a small strip gives you that extra sparkle you want for Christmas!  I'm on my second package of Lights Aglow 6" x 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper as it's perfect for so many card projects.

Love the peek-a-boo look below of the DSP behind the Picture This Die done in Glimmer Paper! The Festive Pearls add the perfect touch to my cards - I know you will love them too!

In the last card, the strips of DSP make the card a bit more special - I heat embossed the Gold tree design onto the Very Vanilla Glimmer Paper!

Sunday Share - Fitting Florets Collection For All Seasons

Good morning!! I'm so excited to share some brand new products with you today especially the new dies (did you see the ovals??) that work so well with the stamps and the Designer Series Papers.  You know I love pretty papers but I also love to use them on my projects and this package hits the mark with so many pretty designs as well as lots of neutral patterns for any occasion.

You will be able to create seasonal and all-occasion projects with this exclusive collection of coordinating products that's available starting November 1st. With so many options to mix and match, you'll be set no matter whether you want to send birthday wishes, express your gratitude, or spread some Christmas cheer.

The new Framed Florets Bundle is an early release from the upcoming January - June Mini Catalogue. While you can purchase the Framed Florets Photopolymer Stamp Set and coordinating Framed Florets Dies separately, purchasing the bundle will save you 10% and it's the best way to get the most from your purchase!

Also available as part of this collection are a range of exclusive coordinating products, but only while supplies last. These items will not be in the upcoming mini catalogue so will not be available to purchase after January 4, 2023.
The Framed & Festive Cling Stamp Set also coordinates with the Framed Florets Dies and has beautiful Christmas sentiments for all your holiday crafting with this collection. The Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls and Fitting Florets 12" x 12" (30.5 cm x 30.5 cm) Designer Series Paper are perfect for Christmas projects and more.

Want it all? Just click here and add the Fitting Florets Collection to your basket!

Here's a couple of cards I made with my pre-order of the collection - I love how the dies and Designer Series Papers can be used for more than one season and more than one occasion!!

The first card I made has the adorable oval hearts die which cuts into the cardstock to give us a die cut frame of mini hearts - and you can use the hearts in a shaker card like the concept artist at Stampin' Up! shows in the video I've included at the end . . . . . Here's my card for you -
I used the Night of Navy cardstock frame to highlight the strips of DSP and I used one of the dies to cut out one of the images on the DSP - it wasn't a perfect match but it worked for my card. I could have fussy cut the image but wanted you to see that you can use your dies even if the image isn't an exact match!  I added the Celebrate greeting label from the Framed Florets Stamp set inked with Night of Navy.  Now my card is ready to send for almost any occasion!
I had fun building this card for Christmas giving - I started with the Evening Evergreen card base and the checked DSP, then took my cues from the coordinating colours listed on the DSP and added some Sweet Sorbet Glimmer Paper strips and die cuts from the 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper Pack - love the ombre look of each piece!  I also die cut some pieces with the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper - another favourite of mine to add some subtle shine 😉. The idea for the card came from the box you will see in the video!
I die cut the oval from Evening Evergreen for my frame, and then die cut another from Basic White to add the awesome sentiment stamped in Sweet Sorbet to tie it all together . . . . what do you think??  I wrapped some White Glittered Organdy Ribbon around the card front and made a quick knot then added some of the Gold Adhesive Backed Swirls from the collection. Lots of sparkle for a fun and fairly quick Christmas Card!!
Want more inspiration for this collection? Watch the video below for lots of ideas and some background on how the products happen too . . . let me know if I can help with any of your projects at any time and hoping to see you on my next Zoom Craft and Chat event on November 22nd at 7:00 pm.
Happy stamping!
