Sunday Share - Some Card Ideas and Kits For You!

It's time to share some recent cards I made with you - some using retired products (so I can buy more new stuff!) and some using the recent kits from the online Kit Collection - link here for you to shop!

I have such a great time visiting The Wesbrooke in Pitt Meadows and working with the crafting group they call Helping Hands to add some cards to their birthday box so each person will have a handmade card on their special day. This month we also made the first of a few Christmas cards so they will have some to distribute to those staying at the residence over the holidays.

The ladies are getting very quick at putting together the kits I assemble for them - they say it's because they've watched me over the years while I share card ideas with them. I think it's because they are really great learners!!

I was at a small crop recently and used my time to work on some Paper Pumpkin Kits and a couple of kits from the newest in the collection   . . . here's some pictures of the two I worked on - lots of fun when everything is included (except scissors to cut twine or ribbon)

I made up three of the tags which have a really cute pocket on the back of the tag for a gift card but I think I might add the rest of the tags to a regular card base and add some of our pretty Christmas papers behind the punch outs . . .what do you think?? I really like the red one in the middle with the Lights Aglow Designer Series Paper in the background!!
I also pulled out my Birthday organizer Kit and started to make the cards to use each month - the kit comes with 12 cards plus the organizer that you personalize with your family and friends special dates. That way you are always ready to send a card to make them smile, knowing you've been thinking of them in the best way! This would be a great gift to give a family member who keeps asking "when is this person's birthday or anniversary" so they have a head start on planning!
I cut the soft Mint Macaron bases in half, trimmed out the score line and added the one piece to Basic White card bases. Now I have the other half (it was the back side) ready to add some stamped images and greetings - 6 more cards from the kit!
My Craft and Chat invites are out for Tuesday, October 18th at 7:00 pm. If you'd like to join me on Zoom and didn't get an email invite, let me know as I'm happy to add you. You can work on any project or play along with me using the measurements I send on Tuesday morning with the Zoom link.

Till next time - happy stamping!

Sunday Share - Catching Up On My Recent Cards!

We know it's spring on the West Coast when the blossoms appear and this past week they have been sharing their colour with us so I snapped a couple of pictures in our neighbourhood to let you enjoy the colour too!

If you like making blossoms on your cards, then the Cherry Blossom Dies are retiring but still available through my online store - sadly the coordinating Forever Blossoms Stamps Set is sold out!!

I'm still making cards each month with my crafting ladies at The Wesbrooke Seniors Residence and they made these cards to help fill their birthday box last month . . .  some of the papers are now retired, but I thought you'd like to see what can be done with your Designer Series Papers that you are probably saving for some special cards!! Now is the time to use them because there are always more pretty papers coming out and you want to get them too!!

This month is a preorder month for us Stampin' Up! Demos to get a few products in hand to share with you when the new Annual Catalogue goes live on May 3rd. Between now and then, you need to be on the lookout for this catalogue cover coming to you in the mail if you are my regular customer and if you live out of town - or check with me mid-April to get your copy if you are closer to me  . . .I ordered boxes of catalogues to share with my local peeps yesterday as that was the first opportunity to order!

There's so much that I like in this catalogue, even though I'm sad they couldn't include everything from the old one - but change is good, right??  I'll be showcasing some new products once we can all get them both on my blog posts and at my Zoom events each month. Stay tuned this month as I share more each week until we the finally reveal what's inside!!

If you want to shop anytime, please click on the link here and use my current Host Code A3XK34A6 , or message me to add to group orders going in.  I'm happy to help and always send group orders in right after each event. Meanwhile shop the Retiring Products list on my website or the current Spring Mini - both have some great products you'll want to add to your creative spaces ๐Ÿ˜€

Happy stamping!

We Can Never Have Too Much Birthday! Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop

It's another Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop today and we are showing you some birthday card ideas. Check out all the awesome creativity using the links at the end of my page!

I don't know about you, but I'm always needing more birthday cards, so it's fun to sit down and make a few so I can grab one when I need it - except for those special occasion ones that happen so often - then I do make one just for that special milestone!

Today I'm sharing a card I made with my ladies at our local seniors residence earlier this week - they needed some more cards for their birthday box and this one fit the bill for a generic style that will be good for anyone. They really liked the fun fold too - I used retiring Harvest Meadow DSP strips (it's still available!) and Kraft 6" x 6" Paper run through the Bark Embossing Folder to add texture. I was also asked to create a girly one which we did using lots of retired products (which is nice to do when you can!)

And I mentioned those special occasion cards you need?  Well I needed this one for later that same day to give to a friend who loves his scotches so thought it was a fun one to make using the Whiskey Business Stamps.

Since we don't have any number stamps right now, I decided to make a stencil using the Playful Alphabet Dies and then used my Blending Brushes to add the number randomly over the card front and then inside too.  He loved it!!

Do you still have some items on your wish list from the 2021 Holiday Mini?? Check out the Last Chance items before they are gone for good (last day is January 3rd) and if you are shopping with me, please use my current Host Code NPCJKCXS so I can track your orders and send my thank you at the end of the month. I can also place orders for you - just email or message me to help you get your supplies! Next group order will be going in December 30th ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have a wonderful Christmas and New Years - looking forward to 2022 and what it will bring to each of us!!

Happy stamping!

Sunday Share - Card Ideas From My Card Kits for The Wesbrooke

I haven't shared the card kits that I make up for The Wesbrooke Seniors Residence for quite awhile. I'm so happy to be able to do the kits with my ladies again although we are still using lots of precautions as none of us want to get sick . . .

The first cards are some "Welcome" cards for new residents - it's such a special way to let them know they are part of The Wesbrooke family!

Birthdays are another special occasion and each person has their birthday recognized on their day with a card made by the ladies who craft with me.

Use these ideas for making some quick cards for yourself so you always have some ready to send . . . no need to make a quick trip to the dollar store when you can put together one of these cards with a few supplies and minimal tools. I don't always use current products for these card kits but you can ask me for the supply list if you aren't sure!

I share projects on my Zoom events each month - check my newsletters for details and join me. If you aren't on my newsletter list, you can sign up here with my pop-up or send me a quick email and if you need any supplies, my website is open 24/7 to shop anytime.  I also put in group orders for local pickups at least a twice a month so check with me if you want to place your order that way! Use this link to shop online and please use my current Host Code W2DSCW4M so I can track your orders and you might be in the draw for shared Host Rewards!

Reminder we have our Join Now special going on until November 30th so you can be a budget shopper all the time - the "try it" kit is only $100 (regularly $135) and you can get up tp $165 in product of your choice! What a great deal - here's my link for more information on my site.

I want to thank each of you for being part of my small business and supporting me - I earned these badges of recognition at our Annual OnStage@Home Conference last week (held virtually) and it wouldn't have happened without all of you!

Until next time - Happy stamping!

Sunday Share - Happy Valentine's Day! Sharing Some Love

 Happy Valentine's Day ๐Ÿ’•❤๐Ÿ˜ท

I was asked if I could make 116 Valentines so that each resident at The Wesbrooke in Pitt Meadows would have something special at their door today. With the help of a couple of friends that I reached out to, I delivered the kits near the end of January so that the craft group ladies could put them together. Here's a few samples for your inspiration - some using retired products and past Paper Pumpkin kits too!

Closer to home, my orders that were picked up this month included these cute treat boxes and as of today you can still pick them up on my website - they are perfect little holder for more than Valentine's Day and very reasonable - they are called Little Love Boxes and include 20 treat boxes with 24 die cuts and labels /$11.00 ready to stamp! I recommend getting some for any occasion or be ready for next year!!

The adorable cards and envelopes below are on p 16 in the January-June Mini and might get overlooked - they are perfect to include with a little gift or add to a bottle of wine and can be used for many occasions where you want to show some love - take a look at Sweet Little Valentines Cards & More and get yours for the next time you need a little card to go along with your gift! The kit includes 10 card bases in two designs, 10 envelopes to coordinate and ten dual sided printed card layers to go on top - all with some pretty gold details. I added the Gold Twine from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack to the card layer for some extra bling!!

Need some of the basics - cardstock, adhesives, or embellishments?? Use my Shop Now buttons here or on my Facebook page to get the orders sent directly to you - and don't forget the Host Code UKMBTRYF as you check out so you can be included in my monthly draws to share in the rewards. Next draw date is February 24th, then there will be new code posted.

My next event is my second Blending Brushes Technique Class on Tuesday February 23rd at 7:00 pm - register here to get the Zoom link:
