Sunday Share - Summer Flower Power Cards!

Color & Contour with a Summery Colour Combination

I don't know about you, but I always smile when I make a card that just looks happy - and this colour combination really does that for me!

Here's the colours for this month's inspiration!
And here's the project it inspired using the awesome stamps in the Color & Contour Stamp Set - if it hasn't been on your wish list, then you really need to add it now! I've used it so many ways and they are always great!! Read on to get the details:
The bright colours makes the most of the "stamping off" technique to feature various shades of the same ink pad.

The solid floral image from the Color & Contour Photopolymer Stamp Set was stamped randomly on to a Basic White Cardstock layer using Petal Pink Classic Ink, after first "stamping off" on your grid paper. The outline floral image was then stamped over the top of each flower, again with Petal Pink but this time at full strength (without stamping off first) and it's so easy to line up with the photopolymer stamps. This was repeated with the same stamp combination and Flirty Flamingo Classic Ink.

For the sentiment, I went with the Charming Sentiments Photopolymer Stamp Set, and stamped it using Misty Moonlight Classic Ink on Basic White Cardstock for a nice contrast, and then cut the greeting with the coordinating die from the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies.

It seemed like the card needed a bit more contrast so I grabbed a strip of Misty Moonlight Cardstock (about 3/8") to add over the floral stamped panel, just below the halfway mark. I then took some White twine, from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, and wrapped it around the panel on top of the Misty Moonlight strip. The die cut sentiment was attached over the top of the twine using Stampin' Dimensionals. The whole panel was mounted on to a Misty Moonlight Cardstock mat, and layered on to a Basic White card base.

You can add one of the outline floral images to the inside of your card, and onto the envelope too - it's always fun to add those little touches that people may not expect.

Remember when shopping online to use my current Host Code if your order is under $200 - that will get you in my draws for sharing Host Rewards - always fun to get something for free! You can find it at the top of my sidebar on my blog page!

Happy stamping,

Ginny
