Sunday Share and some #simplestamping cards for you!

I'm sending more cards than ever during this pandemic to let people know I am thinking of them and many of you have let me know that you are too. That means we need to have lots of cards on hand to mail and today's post is all about you getting a few cards made ahead that are quick and easy!!
The concept for these cards came from one of our Stampin' Up! weekly inspiration emails that we get - they are usually filled with ideas on using products we have as well as giving us hints as to what's coming in new catalogues . . . . . . these cards use only a few of our standard, core products: stamps that you have on hand; a package of Brights Cardstock (you can sub any of the family groups that you have); Basic Gray ink pad; your favourite adhesives and paper trimmer.

Here's my close up of each card with the measurements to create the cards at home - these would be fun to do with any kids that are in your household, or will be visiting when we are able to expand our bubbles a bit to include others in our lives. Card #1 and #2 bases are Thick Whisper White  8 1/2" x 5 1/2" folded in half.

Card #1 is all  about the squares - Granny Apple Green CS Layer 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”; Daffodil Delight + Mango Melody + Pacific Point + Coastal Cabana CS squares 1 ½”; Stamp Set Country Home; Ink Basic Gray
Card #2 takes strips to a new level - Coastal Cabana CS Layer 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”; Pacific Point Layer 3 ¼” x 4 ½”; Greeting strips 3” x 1” in Granny Apple Green + Mango melody + Daffodil Delight; Stamp Set Itty Bitty Birthdays; Ink Basic Gray
Card #3 does some layering for a different effect - Card Base Daffodil Delight; Strips 1 ¼” x 4 ½” Granny Apple Green + Pacific Point + Coastal Cabana; Greeting strip 1 ¼” x 2 ¾”; Stamp Set Butterfly Gala; Ink Basic Gray
If you need to top up any of your basic supplies, remember that my online store is open 24/7 and Stampin' Up! has some great systems in place to ensure our orders continue to be processed in a timely manner - and you can have the order come directly to your home. If you don't want to do online, then check with me for my next orders going in and you can be a part of that group.
Exciting news - the new Annual Catalogue launches next week on June 3rd. If you aren't close to me your catalogue is on its way in the mail direct from Stampin' Up! so please be patient - if I usually give you one in person then I have yours here and we can arrange a porch drop/pick up for you.  I'm going to do a virtual launch sometime in June and will give you a heads up when it's going to happen!
And there is still time to order the June Paper Pumpkin kit - so order now before you forget - scroll down to this picture - it's a don't want to miss item!!

Sunday Share - Quick Cards For You to Make (and Send!)

I've been busy in my crafting studio making cards - and sending them - to family and friends. Since we can't get out and socialize, this is almost the next best thing to let everyone know you are thinking of them.
Did you make some cards on Thursday with the Stampin' Up! Day of Service event on Facebook Live??  I'm showing just a few of the ones I made - I still have more to finish off then get in the mail (as that's the important part!) but I do have the bits and pieces cut and ready to go (it's called creative chaos!). The whole idea is that we #shareshunshine!! You can still get the Gold Trimmed Card Bases and Envelopes that I used in the Last Chance Products section of my store - I'd stock up now for some really good quality card bases and envelopes - and they are on sale for only $8.10 + shipping/taxes for a package of 20 - get them here!
If you didn't get a chance, and want to catch up now, then go to Sara's CEO page on Facebook where you can get all the details.  If you haven't yet purchased the COVID-19 Giveback download (check it out here) with 15 pages of greetings to cut, punch or die cut out - you can still get yours for only $12 US and all proceeds go to your designated choice when you check out. So far Stampin' Up! has raised over $190,000 and they are hoping to hit that $200 K mark soon! The words are perfect to add to scrapbooking layouts too!
Here's a quick card for you to try with any papers you have at home - pretty papers used as the background, and also for the punched daisies and mini flowers.
I'm still able to connect with my ladies at The Wesbrooke by dropping off some card kits and instructions for them to make on their crafting days (less people, more spaces) so they have some cards to share with those having birthdays at the residence, or for those who would like to send cards out to their family as a way of keeping in touch.  This was one of the cards I put into kits for them.
And here's the other card I did for them - it's another easy card for you to make at home with strips of Designer Series Papers, a single greeting stamp on a punched out layer. Punches are super easy and quick when you need a card in a hurry - I added strips of the DSP to the envelope flap for a fun touch!
I'm so happy to say that the new catalogue pictured here and available for online purchasing and ordering starting June 3rd, will have lots of punches and most will be available in bundles with stamps for you to save money at the same time!!
Let me know if you received a catalogue from my mailing if you live farther away from me - or I have your copy here and we can do "porch pickup" or delivery whichever works best. Here's a peak at the new "In Colors" for 2020-2022 in my now famous Bookmark for you to take with your catalogue or next order!

Remember my online store is always open for you when you run out of your basics - check out the clearance centre and the retiring items too - they won't be around much longer . . . .  and if you run out of adhesives, I usually have some that you can purchase right away!! Message me any time - I'm here to help you get your creating done :-)

Happy stamping!!

Sunday Share - Retiring In Colors Part 3

This weekend I am  highlighting the last of the 2018-2020 In Colors that are retiring with the Annual Catalogue on June 2nd. You definitely want to get your inks, papers, blends and embellishments in your favourite colours before they leave for good!

Today's post is all about Lovely Lipstick - such a vibrant red and it's been a great colour to add to my card designs when I wanted a bright and cheerful card. My ladies at the seniors residence where I was doing classes (pre-COVID-19) loved it for Thinking of You cards, Valentines Day cards and so many happy occasion cards.
Here's a couple of cards I did recently - pairing the Lovely Lipstick with the Best Dressed Designer Series Papers (also retiring) for some really cheerful cards!
I had some people ask how I did the envelopes to match my cards so here's my tip: Cut a piece of DSP 6" x 6" and then trim off 2 1/4" for the envelope flap. Use the rest of the DSP on your card as you wish then pull out your Silicone Mat (the best "tool" ever for keeping adhesive off your work space!) and place the mat between the flap and the back side - add your Snail adhesive to the flap (you can also use liquid Tombow glue). Add the DSP where you glued it and trim around the ends from the back side with your Paper Snips. Here's a picture for you:
Remember time is running out on the Last Chance retiring items so check out the store now and get what you want before its gone!!
While you are in my store, pick up the COVID-19 Giveback Download of tons of sentiments to make fun cards to send to family, friends and neighbours that you are missing seeing every day . . .  they will love getting your happy mail!!
Looking for something special or need some ideas or help with a project?? Contact me and I'l get back to you as soon as I can . . . . .

Kylie's Demo Training Blog Hop May 2020 - Sketches for the Win!!

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Monthly Team Blog Hop! I really hope you check out all our posts and get inspiration from these amazing demonstrators to create your own projects.

I’m Ginny Duncan from Maple Ridge, BC Canada and I’m so happy you stopped by today! You may be starting here  or have come from another blog - either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea.
I've chatted (from a distance!!) with a few friends lately who say they feel like they are losing their creativity with staying indoors and not getting the stimulation from being out and about  and visiting with friends and family. . . . and wonder what they can do to keep creating. My answer always is: Check out some sketches (yes, you can google it!)

Sketches are a great way to get your imagination going again, even if you start out copying exactly, before you know it, you are off with your own interpretation of the design and just like that you are back in your happy place!
Here's a card I did for today's blog hop based on a team sketch challenge last week.  It's pretty much the way the sketch was drawn, with the variety of layers and the portrait orientation.  I do love the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Papers and the Bonanza Buddies Bundle which is retiring June 2nd! What you say?  Yup, better get it now before it's gone!! This bundle makes the cutest cards for both the big and little kids in your life!!
This card shows how I took the sketch and made it into a pretty and girly card using the Parisian Blossoms DSP and the Parisian Beauty Bundle . . . . do you have travel pictures you need to scrapbook?? Then this bundle is the perfect one to remind you of vacation times to faraway places . . and because it too is retiring you need to get it while you can.
The third card gives you an idea as to what can happen when you turn a sketch on it's side (you can even turn them upside down!) and take the elements and play with them just a bit . . . can you see your imagination starting to take off by now?? I used the retiring Garden Lane DSP along with the Magnolia Blooms stamps from the Experience Creativity Brochure and added some Metallic Pearls. That stamp set is like a baby sister to the Good Morning Magnolia stamps (and dies) in the Annual Catalogue - check them all out!!

All the retiring products are listed in the Last Chance section of my online store so get your shopping started now so you don't miss out.
And while you are there, why not click on the Giveback picture and download the special COVID-19 sentiments so you can Share Sunshine by sending off tons of cards to your family, friends, and neighbours to keep in touch! The sentiments are also great for making cards and giving them to essential service workers when you are out getting your groceries and other necessities.
Thank you so much for visiting today! We have an awesome group  of Stampin' Up!® demonstrators from around the world, and we know you are going to love all their projects. Grab a cup of your favourite beverage and go through all the links.

Remember you are currently on my page – Ginny Duncan and I appreciate all your comments!  See who is below my name to know where to go next.

Sunday Share - Retiring In Colors Part 2!!

The retiring 2018-2020 In Colors have been part of our creative projects for the past two years and sadly are heading out to make room for some new and trending colours - here's another glimpse before they are gone forever . . .
Today's cards are showing off the ever so bright Pineapple Punch (and I only had a little bit left to make a card to share with you!) . . . . . so I added a bit of Grapefruit Grove in the die cut flowers

. . . . . And then Call Me Clover which is a brilliant green and perfect for many types of cards or projects where you want to have a true green (like St. Patrick's Day green). I used the retiring Tropical Oasis Designer Series Papers in the Spring Mini Catalogue to highlight the colours.

I also used the Tropical Chic Stamps and the coordinating Tropical Dies, both are on the retiring list AND the dies are on sale too so grab them while you can - perfect for adding to your vacation layouts or when you want to give that lazy, tropical feel to your cards!!

Here's some sample cards from our Stampin' Up! concept artists to get you thinking about what you will make!
Here's the link to my store so you can grab all your In Color picks before they are gone - and maybe get some of the stamps and dies that were on your wish list but are also retiring. Check out the link for Last Chance Items to get shopping!

Reminder to check out your Share Sunshine download of so many COVID-19 related images - they are perfect for sending cards right now to those you can't see in person! Print off the page you want, as you need it - the images are yours to use forever once you download to your computer :-)

My Host Code until May 14 is HHJQ299D so please use that when shopping so I know to send you my thank you at the end of the month.  If your order is over $200, then don't use the code as you will earn your own rewards and you will still get my thank you!!

Happy stamping!
