Sunday Share - Happy Easter and a Paper Pumpkin News Update

Happy Easter to each of you from us - we hope you have a weekend of relaxing and  sharing happy moments with family and/or friends.

This is a quick post to remind you of all the fun kits that are under the Paper Pumpkin banner in Stampin' Up! and coming up in the next three months. The Add-On will be a perfect match for the kits and June's kit will feature new In Colors from the Annual catalogue. . . . . so read on and sign up so you don't miss out!

Paper Pumpkin has changed it's focus for 2024 and will be introducing kits with a quarterly theme and an Add-On you can purchase that will coordinate with all three kits in the quarter - here's the line-up for April, May and June . . . .

April: Delicate Wings

Partial pop-up butterfly elements are the focus of this month's kit, letting you create elegant cards to send words of encouragement and support to those you love. Do you love butterflies as much as I do??

Your kit includes everything you need to make 9 cards (3 each of 3 designs), with 9 coordinating envelopes. The kit includes precut paper pieces and butterfly designs, plus champagne foil images, sentiments, and labels. The ink spot colour this month is Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Spot and other coordinating Stampin' Up! colours are Basic Beige (a new colour), Basic Black, Lost Lagoon, and Moody Mauve.

May: The Best There Is

These cards have a more manly feel and will be perfect for Father's Day and beyond. This kit coordinates with the Country Woods Designer Series Paper from the NEW 2024-25 Annual Catalogue.

The kits kit includes everything you need to make 9 cards (3 each of 3 designs), with 9 coordinating envelopes. Woodgrain textures and masculine earthy tones are featured in this kit, with precut paper accent pieces and labels. This is going to be a popular kit so don't miss it! A Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin' Spot is also provided, and other coordinating Stampin' Up! colours are Basic Beige, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Pool Party, and Wild Wheat.

June: Life Is Sweet

While we haven't got a look at the In Colors that will be featured on these cards, we do know that it will be a really great kit as the new In Colors are so bright and cheerful. You will be making some textured, artistic cards with this month's kit that will help you celebrate the sweet things in life, featuring the NEW 2024-26 In Color™ Collection.

Your kit includes everything you need to make 9 cards (3 each of 3 designs), with 9 coordinating envelopes. The kit contains iridescent glimmer sentiments and precut paper pieces, plus vellum accents, iridescent pearls, and linen thread. Coordinating Stampin' Up! colours are Lemon Lolly, Pool Party, and Poppy Parade, along with the new In Colors which will be perfect for some fun cheerful cards!

Exclusive Add-On Dies

The Thanks & Beyond Dies add-on will help you take your crafting with your Paper Pumpkin kits even further. Create butterfly partial pop-up elements using both the outline and detailed insert pieces. The hexagon stitched label and "thanks" sentiment dies will also undoubtedly prove themselves useful additions to your craft supplies. These dies coordinate with all three of this quarter's kits. Don't delay ordering as this add-on is offered while supplies last, and is only available to current Paper Pumpkin subscribers.

Pick up a prepaid subscription (1, 3, 6, or 12 months) from my online store, or set up a monthly subscription. The cut-off date to subscribe and receive each month's kit is the 10th of the month, so to receive the April kit, you must subscribe or activate your prepaid code before April 10th.

Thanks so much for being a part of my Stampin' Up! world over the past several years (since early 2011) - while I'm retiring from the business side I will still keep on creating - only now it will be for my personal projects only not for classes or events.  I was honoured that you chose me to share your crafting time and projects with as that kept me motivated to try new techniques and ideas and in turn share them with you. It's truly about the people we meet along our journey and you've been the best!!

Happy Easter and Happy stamping!

Sunday Share - A Bit Late PLUS Retiring Products List Is Here!

I don't know if you watched the Grey Cup game on Sunday with family and/or friends - well we did (YAY! Montreal) but with making plans for the game and what to eat and when, I totally forgot to poot to my blog! Then I decided I should wait until today so you would know about all the retiring products in the Holiday Mini  . . . . so here we are!

I've got a sketch for you in my weekly newsletter coming out tomorrow and wanted to give you an alternate take on the design to share that sketches can be any season or occasion you need - not just what might be pictured at the time.

Here's my birthday card - I'm always needing birthday cards, aren't you??  It's a quick and easy sketch that uses a whole sheet of 6" x 6" DSP to make two cards.  Or you can use the one sheet and add a much wider strip to your envelope, as well as a strip inside but this time I opted for the two cards . . .  which one do you like best??  It also uses the Biggest Wish Stamp Set in the Annual catalogue - while the one in my newsletter features to coordinating More Wishes Stamps Set from the Holiday Mini - having both sets gives you so many possibilities!!

Retiring products already?/ Yes it's that time where we will be saying farewell to some seasonal favourites as Stampin' Up! prepares us for the next catalogue coming in early January.  If you still have some products' on your list to buy, now's the time to hop on to my store and get them quick before they are gone for good - just use my links here and start shopping!!  And if you live out of town, and have ordered from me in the past six months, then watch for the new Spring Mini coming to your mailbox late December/early January 😉💕

Watch for my newsletter tomorrow with all the details and sign up with my pop-up here if you haven't already as that's the best way to stay in the loop with me!

Happy stamping!

Sunday Share - Playing With Colours And Regency Park

Happy Sunday!

If you read my newsletter this past week, you probably liked the colour challenge I shared with you - and I did promise another version today so here it is!

I really like how the Mango Melody background from the Regency Park Designer Series Paper pops on the Night of Navy card base - such a difference from the softer blues I showed last week. It's amazing what colour can do for you and your cards - it can lift your mood and change up your ideas too!

I used the Pale Papaya In Color Opals to accent this card and added some of the Sheer Ribbon in the same soft tones - it really seemed to work well with the Mango Melody in the Designer Series Papers and will be perfect to send to a friend for a birthday 💕😉. And I added some of the DSP to my envelope too!

Here's a reminder of the card from my newsletter - which one is your favourite??

Ready to shop?? Here's the link to my online store which is is always open for you!

Reminder that the 2021-2023 In Colors will be retiring the end of April and inventory will quickly run out on those items! Stock up on your In Color ink pads, re-inkers, cardstock and any In Color Ribbons, or embellishments before they are gone for good!

Which colours are going?  Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia are all retiring In Colors - and some of the products are already on low inventory!

Contact me or hop online now - use my current Host Code SDHEEX9Z  to share in Host Rewards if your order will be under $200 (over $200 you earn your own rewards!). I draw from all current month qualifying orders (over $35) at the end of each month and you might be the next lucky winner!!

Sunday Share - Artfully Composed Suite For Your Tropical Projects!

There hasn't been enough time to share all the fabulous products in the Spring Mini that will be retiring the end of June . . .  so I'm highlighting my favourites in the next few weeks before they are gone for good!

I loved the Artfully Composed Suite on p. 32 of the January - June Mini as soon as I saw it - it was like a breath of spring in our early days of looking at this new catalogue. Although I've used it for some cards, I haven't really showcased it for you so you can see the potential of the stamps and dies as well as the gorgeous Designer Series Paper (which is on sale while quantities last).

My cards today show how you can take more than one design of the patterned paper and make a great card . . . my first card uses four different patterns and they all work together. That's what's so good about getting a pack of our Designer Series Paper as you know they will coordinate so well. My second tip is to check the catalogue description (or the back of the package once you get it) and the solid colours that coordinate are listed so you know right away which cardstock and ink to reach for.

I used Pear Pizzazz for my card bases, and Evening Evergreen for my inked sentiments - both colours listed on p. 33 to help you pick your papers based on what you have - or what you are planning to purchase! I do love the mixed font styles in the sentiments - they make a great focal point on any card!

My second card played off two of the pictured ones using some of the elements of both to create my own style - I wanted to try the border die in the Tropical Layers Dies so used it on the lower edge of the main pattern then I added two other elements using more die cuts. I love the look of them cut from pieces of the DSP don't you?

While there is still stock of these items, I wouldn't delay if you want to add them to your crafting space - retiring products tend to sell quickly so order here and you know it will be on it's way to you! While you are ordering please include my current Host Code BB6229W7 (if your orders are under $200) then I can track your orders and put you in my draws to share Host Rewards after my Craft and Chat events each month.

Next Craft and Chat is Tuesday, June 22nd at 7:00 pm on Zoom - I'm continuing with my Zoom classes so anyone can join in and share crafting time with us. I love seeing my friends from all over the province and even outside BC when they are traveling! If you aren't getting my email invites from "Mixily" please let me know and then RSVP so you can get my handouts too.

Ready to shop?? Then click here to go to my online store and check out all the retiring product bargains - you will be a happy shopper when you hit send!

Happy stamping!

Sunday Share - In Color Sneak Peeks #2!

Today's the day for another reveal of the next two In Colors coming in the new Annual Catalogue which launches May 3rd!! Are you excited yet to see this pretty cover and what's inside??

I've arranged for mailed out catalogues for all my special customers who shopped with me this past year and are not local to me.   The catalogues are shipped directly to you from Utah and I’m hoping they will be in your mailbox within the next 2 weeks. I always send a test one to myself so I can let you know when I've got my copy and you can be watching for yours too.  If you are local to me, I will have a supply on hand and can get one delivered or arrange for you to pick up.  Now let’s see some more In Colors clues!!

Colour #3 - I rise and fall with the sun and the moon. I’m a fun splash mid-afternoon. If you’re looking for a slice of paradise and that tropical aura, then I recommend a sweet escape to Bora Bora!

Can you guess my name?

Colour #4 - Like billions of fireflies shining so bright we work together to light up the night. Connect us together and we make up dazzling constellations. Shared with someone you love we’re quite the romantic destination.

Who am I?

I tuned into a Stampin' Up! event last night for demonstrators across Canada to learn about some new products and share ideas with the others on the Zoom meeting - there were over 200 demos on the meeting so it was a fun time! We all received a stamp set from the upcoming Annual catalogue for signing up and I made this card from my set called Limited Edition.

I used the retiring Ombre Specialty Paper (so glittery!!) with the Picture This Die and added some Gingham Ribbon and Brushed Brass Butterflies for accents. I think it's going to be a fun one to use in my craft room over the next while . . .  are you ready to see the next two colours?? Here they are . . . .

Here's Tahitian Tide . . .

and welcome to Starry Night!

What's your favourite so far?? I think I like the Parakeet Party as we have no other colour close to it although Starry Night might become my new favourite blue!

Reminder to check out the Last Chance products at my online store - that way you aren't waiting for group orders going in and know your order will come directly to you. Use my current Host Code A3XK34A6 (also at the top of the side bar) to get in the draws for Host Rewards each month!

Want to join me on my next Craft and Chat?? It's on Tuesday, April 19th at 7:00 pm on Zoom so you can join from anywhere!! Message me if you don't have the link from my invites - I'll get one out to you right away!!

Until next time - Happy stamping!

Sunday Share - Sneak Peeks At New In Colors!

**Sorry this is late - couldn't post while we were on our first camping trip of the season as their was no internet! Lesson learned - plan ahead 😉💕

Our new Annual Catalogue launches on May 3rd  and I hope you are as excited as I am to see what's new and what new tools are in the book to help you with your crafting projects!

Starting today, and for the next two Sundays I'm going to reveal the new In Colors to you so you can think about which ones might be your favourites and which ones are going on your "must get" lists right away! Here's the clues for today's two -

"I’m a delicious treat on the tip of your tongue. Creamy yet dairy-free is the life for me. Strawberries, watermelon, raspberries, oh my! Just blend a little fruit juice, water, and sugar for a frozen surprise.

What do you think this one might be?

Here's the second one. . . .

"Don’t let my feathers fool you—I’m a social butterfly! Bright, bold, and beautiful is my motto. This is one bird who doesn’t have time for siestas, but that’s because me gusta la fiesta!"

Who am I?

While you are pondering the clues, I'll share a couple of pictures I took from our first camping trip of the season - it was too cool to eat out (down to +1 overnight) and way too windy to have any campfires, so we enjoyed the down time and shared some meals with friends. No internet at the campsites so it really was downtime!! Sammy loved to perch on the back of the couch and watch the neighbours dogs!

Here's the reveal of the first two colours - I'm already in love with them and think they will be perfect colours to work with our current palette🙂

Meet Sweet Sorbet

and Parakeet Party!

Aren't they happy colours?? I know we are going to have lots of fun making projects with these two colours as well as the other new ones. And wait till you see some of the coordinating products!

The Last Chance Sale is still going on so grab any items on your wish list before they are gone or shop for your regular products by clicking here and going to my online store . . . and use my Current Host Code A3XK34A6 so you can go in my draws to share rewards each month!  Next draw date is April 20th - after my Craft and Chat event on Tuesday April 19th at 7:00 pm. If you don't see an invite, then send me a quick message or email and I'll make sure you get the invite then Zoom link.

 Happy stamping  . . . . until next time

Last Chance Products - Retiring Annual Catalogue!!

Last-Chance Products

Ready or not it's Retirement Time! Stampin' Up! has just released the list of retiring products and some items are on sale. Now is the time to get those items on your wish list ordered before they are long gone.  I highlighted a few of the products below that I adore and are on sale now. Order online to be sure you get your items, or ask me when my next group order is going in! You can still shop from the January-June Mini Catalogue (Spring Edition) as it's good until the end of June!!

Here are my Top 3 Tips for the Retirement List:

  1. In Colors: All 2020-2022 In Color inks, paper, and embellishments are retiring. These items usually sell out quickly so don't forget to add ink refills and extra cardstock to your craft stash. You don't want to miss having these gorgeous colours in your collection!

  2. Bundles: Bundles, with their 10% savings, all retire! Even if the bundle items carryover to the next catalogue the discount does not - so if you have your eye on a bundle, get it now and save!

  3. Stamps vs. Accessories: Retiring stamps are usually available  until mid-month April. All other retiring items, such as paper, embellishments, and dies are only available while supplies last, so you don't want to wait and miss out.

The new Annual Catalogue will launch May 3rd and if you ordered from me in the past year, you will be getting yours in the mail direct from Stampin' Up! before the end of April.  If you didn't order from me during the last 12 months, I will have some available for pick up after Easter break.

Happy Stamping!

A Fun Sketch Challenge for Todays' Crafty Challenge Blog Hop!

I love using a sketch to start my ideas flowing when I sit down to make some cards - and today's sketch was a great one to work with. Welcome to my blog and I hope you will take the time to visit all the other participants to see what they came up with using the same sketch as a starting point . . .  isn't it amazing where we each go using the same picture and a whole catalogue of products!  Here's the sketch so you can try it too!

I decided to crack open some of my new products coming in the January-June 2022 Mini Catalogue so you could get some "sneak peeks" before it goes live January 4th! As demonstrators we can pre-order products before anyone else can so we can make some samples, and start teasing you with all the new goodies LOL!!

Hedgehogs have always been a favourite of mine so this bundle was pretty much first on my list when I could order it . . . and because it's also Sale-a-Bration in January and February I was able to get some FREE products to share with you! I'm loving the soft graphics on the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper I used and the greeting is perfect for the birthday card I wanted to make.  The hedgehog punched so easily and it was super quick to fussy-cut the other two elements! The colours in the DSP make me think of spring (in spite of our current snowy landscape!) so I matched them with my Blends to colour the images and I was really happy with how it turned out.

The new Spring Mini is filled with some awesome bundles and products to help you with all your spring card making needs - from Valentines Day to Easter then Father's Day in the calendar, and any anniversaries, birthdays, weddings and grads - it's all there for you! And when you spend $60 or more, you qualify for FREE Sale-a-Bration products like the Friendly Hello items I used on my card today 😊

Can you spot all the new products in this picture??

If you shopped with me this year then the Spring Mini is on it's way to you (pictured below) - unless you live really close by then I will arrange pickup or delivery so you get the catalogue and flyer soon! Contact me if you don't get yours and I'll make sure you have one!

If you want to shop before the Holiday Mini ends - here's my link so you can shop anytime online. Please use my Current Host Code (top box on my sidebar) so you get my thank you at the end of the month and check my Events calendar each month for what's happening on Zoom - it's fun and you don't need to drive anywhere (and no masks!). The Last Chance retiring products are still available until January 3rd while supplies last, so grab your wish list favourites before they are gone for good!

And do check out all the other awesome projects - you'll be glad you did!!

Happy stamping,

Ginny

We Can Never Have Too Much Birthday! Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop

It's another Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop today and we are showing you some birthday card ideas. Check out all the awesome creativity using the links at the end of my page!

I don't know about you, but I'm always needing more birthday cards, so it's fun to sit down and make a few so I can grab one when I need it - except for those special occasion ones that happen so often - then I do make one just for that special milestone!

Today I'm sharing a card I made with my ladies at our local seniors residence earlier this week - they needed some more cards for their birthday box and this one fit the bill for a generic style that will be good for anyone. They really liked the fun fold too - I used retiring Harvest Meadow DSP strips (it's still available!) and Kraft 6" x 6" Paper run through the Bark Embossing Folder to add texture. I was also asked to create a girly one which we did using lots of retired products (which is nice to do when you can!)

And I mentioned those special occasion cards you need?  Well I needed this one for later that same day to give to a friend who loves his scotches so thought it was a fun one to make using the Whiskey Business Stamps.

Since we don't have any number stamps right now, I decided to make a stencil using the Playful Alphabet Dies and then used my Blending Brushes to add the number randomly over the card front and then inside too.  He loved it!!

Do you still have some items on your wish list from the 2021 Holiday Mini?? Check out the Last Chance items before they are gone for good (last day is January 3rd) and if you are shopping with me, please use my current Host Code NPCJKCXS so I can track your orders and send my thank you at the end of the month. I can also place orders for you - just email or message me to help you get your supplies! Next group order will be going in December 30th 😉

Have a wonderful Christmas and New Years - looking forward to 2022 and what it will bring to each of us!!

Happy stamping!
