Petal Passion Memories & More - not just for scrapbooking!

Hi everyone - have you skipped over the pages that say"Memories & More" in the Occasions (or the Annual) Catalogue because you think they are only about scrapbook layouts??

Grab a coffee or tea and let me show you how easy it is to make some really quick cards from the card packs - a perfect item to take away with you - add some cardstock bases (even our Note Cards and Envelopes would work well too!), your favourite adhesives and maybe a bit of sparkly ribbon and you're ready to roll!

Here's the pictures of the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack from the Occasions Catalogue - there are some pocket scrapbooking samples for sure, and then some fun card and tag ideas for you to copy or use as a starting point for your own creativity :-)

Take a look on p 24 and see how much product you get for such a reasonable price (everything in the picture below for only $12.50!!)
Here are a couple of cards we made at a recent team meeting using the card pack and colouring with Stampin' Blends -

They were so easy to colour and look so soft and springlike!

Today was a kind of dreary day outside as the rain tried to wash away our snow from last week so I decided to play with the new Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper - a FREE item in the last flyer - and I love the colour combination of the foils with Bermuda Bay! I added a bit of the Copper Trim and some of the Pick a Pattern Washi Tape to the card - turned out pretty well for a rainy day project!

As I went through the card pack, I saw the two little birds and matted them on Basic Black cardstock, then paired them with one of the Powder Pink background cards (cut down a bit). I added some Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon from the Annual Catalogue as well as some of the Metallic Sequins - I think both cards turned out really nice - what do you think? What colour combinations would you use??

Here's a video from Stampin' Up! showing how they used the Memories & More Card Pack for their cards - hope it inspires you too!

Sunday Share - Beautiful Day and Paper Pumpkin

Hi everyone - a quick share today to showcase another way to use this amazing stamp set called Beautiful Day.

We did this card at our stamp club last week and it was really popular. Sometimes we forget that stamping and heat embossing on Designer Series Papers can give us a whole new look in a few minutes.

We heat embossed the butterfly image in gold on a 3" x 4" piece of the Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, and did the same for the Happy Birthday greeting on the Whisper White Cardstock layer.  It only took a few minutes to fussy cut the butterfly with our paper snips, and we were ready to pop it onto the Whisper White with Dimensionals, and then used Snail Adhesive to fasten the whole layer to the Flirty Flamingo cardstock base. I added a few gold sequins from the Metallics Assortment, and this card was done!

Like this paper as much as we do? Then order it (link here) and it will be delivered in no time so you can start using it!

I also want to share the awesome Paper Pumpkin deal that is on during Sale-a-Bration - it's the only time you can earn FREE items while you subscribe for 3, 6 or 12 months to the best "kit to your door" program going! Here's what Stampin' Up! says about it -

Stampin' Blends meet Beautiful Day!

Hi everyone - and the title of my post isn't referring to the weather - although it could be because we have been enjoying some awesome sunny days lately even though the temperatures have been below zero - very unusual for us on the West Coast (but no one is complaining!!) Love the snow covered mountains only a few blocks from home on Sunday afternoon . . . .  and it's cold enough that I'm happy to come back to my crafting after we have been out!

There is a new Stamp Set in the Occasions Catalogue that is meant for colouring - it's called Beautiful Day and has a large butterfly image, as well as a flower one - I'm featuring the butterfly today and I'm sure you will see the flower sometime down the road :-)

I did a Stampin' Blends class with my Stamp Club last week using the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes  - a FREE item in the Sale-a-Bration flyer that you can get with a $60 purchase.  I used the Shimmery White Cardstock to stamp the butterfly with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink so the Blends would flow smoothly on the paper. The finished Shimmery White layer was mounted on a Basic Black Cardstock layer so the colours would pop - and then it was all adhered to the Tutti-Frutti card base with Dimensionals. We added the Happy Birthday part of the greeting in the stamp set (yes, I did carefully cut it away!) and then popped it on a smaller strip of the Shimmery White cardstock.

Each member picked a different colour for the card base, which made for some great colouring ideas as they tried to highlight the base colour in their butterfly! For a class that was new to alcohol markers, I thought they did really well and the cards below showcase their artwork!

Isn't it fun to see how different they turned out? I loved how everyone got really creative with their colouring and blending!

For the Stampin' Blends we used the Light and Dark Pool Party, the Light Bermuda Bay, the Light Old Olive, the Light Calypso Coral and the Light Daffodil Delight. I also had the Color Lifter handy for anyone to lighten an area or remove some little over runs.

Head over to my online store (link here) to purchase any of these items, or to stock up on supplies to earn your FREE products during Sale-a-Bration which continues to March 31st - we all need to stock up on basics and to me, this is the best time to do it when I can get free products for buying what I need! If you don't want to shop online, then send me an email with your times and I'll get the order done for you.

All online shoppers receive a thank you at the end of each month - my way of saying how much I appreciate you! And if you do buy Blends, then I have a special brochure for you highlighting some easy techniques to get you started!

Stampin' Up! has done some quick videos on the Stampin' Blends - here is the next one in the series that I am featuring with my Blends cards posts - so grab a cuppa and enjoy!

Happy Stamping!

Sunday Share - Perennial Birthday Project Kit

Hi everyone - a quick share for you today on a sunny, windy day on the West Coast - love the sunshine sparkling on the bit of snow we got overnight!

Here's a look at the Perennial Birthday Project Kit you can get in the Occasions Catalogue  (p 16) - complete with a gift giving box to store the cards and monthly tabbed dividers to record a birthday (or other event) each month! A great way to keep you on track during the year - and you can add the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set for the greetings, or use ones that you have:

And this is what it looks like when done -

I decide to make the kit for my son so he will have cards on hand when he needs one - and changed up a couple of the designs so they would be less "girly" for him! Here's some of my alternate designs made by flipping over one of the pre-stamped flower designs and using the plain back side - an easy way to get a different look when you want to change it up! Then I die cut Happy Birthday to coordinate with the card base and it looks like a fun card that he, or one of the kids can give out :-)

I also used the little bird from A Good Day Stamp Set, and the Happy Birthday greetings came from You're Inspiring Stamp Set, Beautiful Day Stamp Set, and Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set

There are so many fun new products in the Occasions Catalogue and you can still earn FREE products during Sale-a-Bration until March 31st, so check out the many awesome products you can earn for FREE - at my online store by clicking on this link now! New items were added starting February 16th so don't wait - the sooner you get yours, the sooner you can start creating! And remember, all online orders get a thank you gift from me at the end of each shopping month!

Sign up for all my blog posts and my monthly newsletter so you don't miss out - and why not RSVP now for my Make it Monday night tomorrow at 7:00 pm so you can make a couple of cards for your box, or learn how to use your products up (so you can buy more - lol!). It's all about the LOVE today!!

Hi everyone - yes, it is Valentine's Day today, and even if you don't celebrate the day, there are plenty of times during the year when you can make cards that have to do with the "Love" theme - like anniversaries, weddings or just letting someone special know you are thinking about them!

Before I show you my cards, I wanted to let you know that I have updated my blog "header" as well as my Facebook Page cover picture. I learned how to change them yesterday with the help of a Stampin' Up! Business Development Adviser - they are such a great company to give us access to great resources like the BDA program.  Now I can keep my on-line look fresh and seasonal!

Here are some cards I made with new products from the Occasions Catalogue - I love the shine on the Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Papers! The little gift card size could easily be made as a Thank You card for someone, too!
I used the heart shapes from both the Sweet & Sassy Framelits and the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits to make the cards - and I die cut a few mini hearts from the die in the Mini Treat Bags Thinlits. The 'Love You' is from the Party Pandas Stamp Set - FREE with your qualifying orders during Sale-a-Bration days until March 31st.

If you don't have the paper or stamps from the Occasions Catalogue yet (check out the catalogue by clicking the link on my side bar), then don't despair as the Annual Catalogue can help you out - we sometimes forget about those sets that have been around for a bit but they are often perfect for a quick card or two! Take a look at the cards I made to send to my out of town families using the You're So Sweet Stamp Set along with the Sweet & Sassy Framelits again and some of the Tutti-Frutti Designer Paper Stack (and some retired papers)!

And just in case you forgot about the card I showed earlier this month using the Fruit Basket Stamp Set, here it is again - given today to my DH!
Do you need to get any of the products shown in bold today? Click on this link now and go direct to my website, where all these products and more are ready for you to order! If you want me to place your order, then email me and I will make it happen!

I send thank yous in the mail at the end of each month to each person who orders from my online store - know that I do appreciate you and want to help you enjoy creating with your products! Connect with me any time with your questions or to share your ideas! If you need a catalogue, please let me know . . . . I'm happy to deliver in the Maple Ridge area, or I can pop one in the mail to you!

I hope you get a chance to share some love and hugs today - it's good for all of us to both give and receive!!

Happy Stamping!

Sunday Share - Celebrate (and) Amazing You!

Hi everyone - my share today is a swap I received from my friend Alison - she used both the Amazing You Stamp Set AND the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies from this year's Sale-a-Bration Flyer!

This is such a pretty card - Alison ran the Soft Sky Cardstock base front through the Big Shot with the Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and matted her stamped piece on Basic Black Cardstock to make the images really pop on the card.

The flowers were stamped in Lemon Lime Twist Ink (love that colour!!) on Whisper White Cardstock, and the words "celebrate" and "you" were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The strip of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock was run through the Big Shot with one of the Petal Pair Textured Impression Embossing Folders and the Soft Sky "amazing" cut from the Celebrate You Framelits Die was added for the top layer.

Some Basic Rhinestones scattered on top added a bit of bling. Now that you see how easy it is - do you want to make this card yourself? Check out all the highlighted products in my on-line store (link here) and get them sent direct to you (with your choice of FREE Sale-a-Bration items too!) or email/message me to get your order going for you :-)

Here's what you get with the featured Sale-a-Bration items (or check the flyer on the sidebar to see all the Sale-a-Bration items:

Let's colour with Stampin' Blends!

Hi everyone - I thought today was a good day to bring some spring sunshine into our lives - if you are living on the West Coast, then you know we have had lots of rain recently and what better way to bring on the sun than create it with cards and colouring?

Here's the cards I made and they were super easy using some of my Stampin' Blends and the pre-printed cards from my Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack!

I trimmed the cards to fit my design, matted both on Basic Black CS when coloured, and used Daffodil Delight CS for the card base on both cards - one way to bring on that sunshine! That bit of black trim on the lower card is the Pick a Pattern Washi Tape from the Annual Catalogue. I coloured the Rhinestone Basic Jewels with a black sharpie.

Stampin' Up! Blends are perfect for giving you control over how much shading you want on any project - they blend smoothly and give you the ability to be an artist first time!

Take a look at the variety of cards you could make with this Memories & More card pack or use it to help with your scrapbooking pages! They work with traditional scrapbooking as well as pocket scrapbooking pages!

Remember to check out all the highlighted in bold products in my online store (link here), or message me to help you put your order together!

Check the Occasions Catalogue on pages 30-31 and 35 for more ideas on how to colour with the Blends - here's a list of all the currently available colours to pick from - all colours come in either a light or dark, or buy in combo packs to save entering numbers!

Did you notice the "Celebrate" greeting comes from the Amazing You Sale-a-Bration stamp set?  You can earn that set for FREE when you shop for your regular supplies! The "Happy Birthday" is from the You're Inspiring Stamp Set on p 31 of the Occasions Catalogue.

I will have more card samples with Stampin' Blends in the next couple of weeks as I will be featuring them in my Stamp Club classes :-) so stay tuned for more ideas!

Take a look at this Stampin' Up! video for tips from their trainers on how to use your Blends! I will share more videos with you next time I talk about Blends!

Happy Stamping!
