Make it Monday is coming on October 17th at 7:00 pm!

Hi everyone - my Make it Monday events are all about creating clean and simple cards so you have a supply on hand ready to use for any occasion. I can't wait to see you this Monday from 7:00 - 9:00 pm when we will take some papers, stamps and ink and make cards for any celebration to have on hand - and save that last-minute mad dash to the dollar store because you NEED a card NOW! Let me know you are coming so I have enough kits ready and yes, you are welcome to bring a friend too :-)

Today I am sharing some cards I recently made - so you can think about making your own cards for any event in your life! Copy exactly or take the ideas to create your own cards! That's what great about this card making "hobby" - you can choose how you want to take any sketch or card and re-create it in your own home!

I really love trying out "One Sheet Wonder" templates as I can get so many different cards from one sheet of paper! Take a look at all the cards I made using only an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of this gorgeous Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper. The "specialty" part comes in because of the copper foil in the pattern on a couple of sheets - you can really see it on the bonus card I made with some of the leftover pieces after I cut into my 12" x 12" papers. I added some copper foil die cuts and it looks really shiny in person!

I got this idea from a Pinterest post from UK demonstrator Michelle Last - loved the way she stamped her own background paper - I took the easy way out by cutting into one of Stampin' Up!'s ready printed papers! This is a perfect way to add cards to your stash, and use up some of those papers you have stored to use up "someday"!!

Remember that during the month of October you can stock up on your favourite papers with the Buy 3, get 1 FREE promotion - a great chance to stock up or share with a friend!

The die cuts and stamps are from the Sunshine Sayings bundle of dies and stamps - and you get 10% off when you get them together . . . .  and who doesn't love to save?? I love that you can mix and match the dies with the stamps!

Check them out here in my on-line store where you can shop 24/7 whenever you need to get it now!

I hope you had a chance to sit at a table with some family and friends this past Thanksgiving Day weekend. We had family visiting us and used some of my September Paper Pumpkin kit treat holders for each place - they were well loved!!

Paper Pumpkin kits come to you monthly and include FedEx delivery - you always get a fun surprise to create right away, or to take with you on a holiday, or when you have children visiting - they LOVE to help you create! Click here to sign up so you can start your monthly fun kit!

And card makers are definitely getting into the Christmas spirit as we start making cards to send to our family and friends during the holidays - here is a perfect card that uses the Pretty Pines Framelits Dies, the Merry Tags Framelits Dies and the Pine Bough Textured Embossing Folder from the Holiday Catalogue, along with the Large Letters Framelits. I got the idea from Sandi in our demo group and altered it to use what I had on hand! You can even see a peak of pine bough in side the card! All supplies are available through me or my online store!

I hope you enjoy todays' cards and if I can help you in your paper crafting journey, send me an email or message me from Facebook! I'd love to hear from you!

Happy stamping!

Sharing card ideas from #WCMD2016 with you!

Hi everyone - Juanita and I had a great time welcoming you to my studio on Saturday, October 1st and sharing our card ideas with you, too.

For those who were not able to make it - here are the three cards we showcased for you to make and take home with you - and MAIL to someone!

First up is Juanita's sample - a great use of the 2015-2017 In Color Cardstock (all 5 colours too!) and the Acorn Builder Punch. The Woodland background embossing folder adds the perfect texture to this fall card, and the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set can be changed out to any greeting for your needs. It's the perfect "any occasion card", don't you think??

For the next card, I wanted to showcase Stampin' Up!'s pre-scored notecards with matching envelopes (20 in a pack for only $8.00 - an amazing deal in Whisper White or Crumb Cake!) - so everyone got to make this cute reindeer using the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set and Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  We added a strip of Warmth & Cheer DSP flagged with the Banner Triple Punch. The background shine comes from a piece of the NEW Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate. I love the way it adds some shine and you can still see through it to the card beneath! I used the Soft Suede Marker to colour only the "Merry Christmas" words in the greeting stamp - a quick tip when you don't want the whole greeting. And finally, a quick touch with a Real Red marker for the nose, and a gold star from the Metallic Enamel Shapes and it was done!

The final card was made to show how to use up those scraps of designer paper sitting on your desk, or in a box (wherever you hide them for "someday"!). The card base is Cucumber Crush stamped with flowers in VersaMark Ink from the Watercolor Wishes Stamp Set. The greeting is from the same set. it has great options for so many cards! Another scrap of Cucumber Crush Designer Series Paper Stack, and a small strip of Gold Glimmer Paper gave me a great background for my focal Happy Birthday. The stamped piece was easily attached with two torn strips from the Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape. Add another strip to the front or back of your envelope, and you have a coordinated look in a couple of minutes! I added the heart shape form the Metallic Enamel Shapes over the "I" in Birthday :-)

Everyone had a fun time making cards for our version of World Card Making Day - maybe we will see you next year! Our draw winner was Patty D' and she won a package of hand stamped cards to use! Thanks for entering our draw, Patty!

To order any of the products used, please click on this link to go to my on-line store or send me an email with your wish list and we can include it on my next order going in! Remember Stampin' Up! has a great special on for the month of October where you can buy Three packages of Designer Paper and get One FREE - see all the details below or on my website.

And if you are still thinking about signing up for Paper Pumpkin to get your kit every month, then now is the time and here is the link - order before October 10th and get November FREE! Just like the banner says!!
I had so much fun making the kit for September because I can use the treats for our Thanksgiving dinner table and I still have enough left over for my Stamp Club sessions next week . . . a great kit this month!

Happy Stamping and thanks for stopping by to visit me today!
