Sunday Share - Colour Inspiration For SAB Detailed Dogwood Stamps

For my share today I decided to play off the Colour Inspo in my last newsletter using a new stamp I got FREE with the latest Sale-a-Bration flyer. I had to get the Detailed Dogwood stamp as it's our provincial flower and I love watching the blooms come out in the spring around our neighborhood.  Here's the colours I'm using again for this post:

Here's all the pieces I used to make my cards - I started with the Embossing Folder in the Softy Sophisticated Bundle (another SAB item) and stamped my image to colour with Gray Granite - a bit softer look than my regular Memento Black. The strips of Designer Series Papers came from Inked Botanicals DSP in the Annual Catalogue. It was hard to find a DSP with Crushed Curry!!

I'm not sure the colours are traditional for any dogwood I've seen, but I do think they came out really pretty don't you? I added some small bits of Shaded Spruce cardstock with the greeting background and the punched leaves.

I did this card with a greeting that can be used for any occasion when I just want to say Hi to a friend and I flipped the embossing to the back for a flat design. The flower colours were done with my Blender Pen and the Pool Party background with my Small Blending Brushes.

Here's my other card with a Happy Birthday greeting - and the embossed piece shows off the texture in this card.  Both sentiments are in the Notes of Nature stamp set in the Spring Mini p 43 - it's a great set too (probably my favourite in the Mini!!). I added a bit of Linen Thread to the middle strips to create a bit more texture.

I'm closing my January workshop with Host Code NUDKGRFU on the 31st (Wednesday) so if you've got a small order you want to add then let me know. Orders over $35 go into my draws for sharing Host Rewards each month (unless your order is over $200 then you earn your own rewards).

Drop me an email or message with your shopping list - or go online here and have it come direct to you (quickest and easiest).  Remember that Sale-a-Bration gives you FREE product for every $60 you order so watch for the prompts and don't miss out!!

Until next time - Happy stamping!

Sharing Sale-a-Bration With FREE Products Flight & Airy

Today I'm sharing two cards I made recently using the sketch from my newsletter on Saturday.  It's such a great sketch to use and works for any papers and any occasion . . . . give it a try and I know you'll be keeping it handy!!

I grabbed my FREE pack of  Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper and picked one pattern that made me think of spring (while we are still feeling the effects of last week's snow!!).  I thought Boho Blue Cardstock would be a good contrast and was pretty happy with the way it looked even when it was cut up on my workspace. The other side of the paper was perfect in Pecan Pie for the contrast strip I wanted.

I stamped both greetings from the Layering Leaves stamp set in the Annual Catalogue with Boho Blue Ink, and added some Garden Green leafy trim bits that were still on my desk from Christmas (great way to use up and clear off my desk too!)

I thought the Copper Clay Jute Trim was a close enough match for the colours in the DSP so it got wrapped around the cross piece of Boho Blue cardstock and then I made a small bow and stuck it on the side with a couple of glue dots.  My envelopes got a bit of the DSP on the back flap - what do you think of my Flight & Airy cards??

I hope you like this alternate from my project last week - I'd love to see your cards so please share them on my Facebook page or in a quick message!

Happy New Year - Let's Celebrate with the New Mini AND Sale-a-Bration too!

Happy New Year to each of you - I hope you were able to have some time with family and/or friends to celebrate the holidays your way!

I really want to say a big thanks for being on this crafting journey with me - it means so much that you have supported me in my small business and taken time to be with me in my classes over the years whether in person or online.  I will be stepping back from a lot of my social media posting this year to focus more on my own projects that I need to do - so many scrapbook pages and stories to tell and time keeps moving on!

I plan to keep sending weekly newsletters for the near future anyway, so you know what I am doing and what's new in my Stampin' Up! world but the blog posts might not be as frequent. I'm trying to find the right balance for me this year . . . . . and still keep in touch while doing our camping and maybe some other travel too.

So catch up with my newsletters, and check out the new Spring Mini  and Sale-a-Bration flyer in my sidebar here . . . and the FREE Sale-a-Bration products you can get when you spend $60 or $120 for more options. Want to shop now?  Click here to start and remember to use my Current Host Code if your order is less than $200 to get in my monthly draws and earn shared Host Rewards.

December's Host Reward pot wasn't large but I was able to do a draw and Patti B was the winner of some product from the Annual Catalogue - yay Patti!!  Thanks for shopping with me 😉

Happy stamping,

Ginny
