Sunday Share - My Favourite Retiring Stamps and Card Shares

Last week I gave you a list of 5 favourite stamp sets that are retiring from the catalogue June 1st - and this week I am adding 5 more that I love to use for a variety of reasons - check out my list and order before May 25th (the last guaranteed date for stamp sets)!

6. Teeny Tiny Wishes - this set has a greeting for every occasion throughout the year and to me it is a necessity in your stamp collection! Get it now before it is gone for good . . . . I can't believe I'm saying good-bye :-(

7. Thoughts & Prayers - when we need to make a Thinking of You or Sympathy card, this is my go-to stamp set. You will use it often too!

8. Vintage Leaves - I love the leaves in this stamp set and the coordinating Leaflets Framelits Dies which are also retiring - I've used both so many times and in so many different ways . . . .

9. Work of Art - this stamp set makes me feel like an artist! Love the way you can mix and match the "swooshes" to get great effects!

10. You've Got This -  the perfect set to let someone know you are thinking of them and the flower makes such a wonderful focal point. The background stamp on its own is perfect for so many cards.

Check out these stamp sets and many more under the Last Chance Products section of my online store (click here) and you can have your wish list done and on its way to your home!

Here's some card ideas from my recent Make it Monday event last week for those who missed it - mark your calendar for the next one which will be in the September - my hubby is retiring next week so we are heading out mid-May for a long trip in our trailer visiting family and friends in three provinces. I am hoping to have internet connections along the way, so I can keep you updated with some pictures and maybe some card making ideas too!

These cards were done with retiring In Colours - they go together so well and were really fun to do! I used the Swirly Bird Stamp Set, some Silver Metallic Thread and a punched out greeting - a cheerful design for anyone on your birthday list!

These cards were done with our new Narrow Notecards & Envelopes, Tutti-Frutti 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to line the envelope, A Good Day Stamp Set, Petal Pairs Embossing Folder, and some inking with Sponge Daubers - fun cards!

Have fun with all the retiring colours and if you want any or all of them, then hop on over to my store and get your order in soon! Ink pads and re-inkers are guaranteed only until May 7th - after that is is "while quantities last" so you don't want to be the one who is left out!

I will have an order going in the morning of May 3rd - you are welcome to email your list and payment options before then and I will make sure it gets in for you . . . .  until next time . .

Happy Stamping!

Sunday Share - Colour Refresh and Favourite Retiring Stamps Sets

If you have  been wondering which colours are going, and what colours will be new to Stampin’ Up! colour families then here’s some pictures to show you the retiring colours and the new and exciting colour palette coming in!

I know I will miss some of the blues - especially Marina Mist as it was the ink colour included with my starter kit when I joined Stampin' Up! at the end of 2010 (we didn't have as many choices as there are now!) and I have really appreciated it for so many cards and layouts over the years!

Here's a quick look at the new colour families that we will see in the new catalogue June 1st - and Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Basic Black are moving to their own new group called "Basics" which makes so much sense . . .

I love that Stampin’ Up! keeps our palette on trend, even though it means we need to update our stamp pads and cardstock when that happens . . . . . and we know that there are going to be some amazing new Designer Series Papers to pick up that will coordinate perfectly with all our new colours . . . . .  I can hardly wait :-) even though I will be doing lots of re-organizing in my craft room!

Here's a quick list of some of my favourite stamp sets that will be retiring and you will be able to order those until May 25th as Stampin' Up! makes them in their own factory but get them soon so you can start enjoying them now -

1. Awesomely Artistic - I love the dragonfly and the background flowers too.

2. Birthday Blossoms - the greetings are perfect for so many cards and the flowers make great backgrounds stamped randomly on your paper.

3. Butterfly Basics - I LOVE butterflies and am so sad this set is retiring along with the Bold Butterfly Framelits and Butterfly Thinlits dies that made it so easy to coordinate with the stamps. You don't want to miss out on these!

4. Number of Years - a perfect set for adding a number to any birthday, anniversary or celebration card - and the Large Number dies are retiring too. Get both while you can - you'll use them so much!!

5. One Big Meaning - if you need thank you cards then this set will do it all for you - so many different fonts and sizes so you will always be able to stamp the right message.

Check my online store now (click here) and get caught up with your wish list before they are gone for good! The Last Chance Products picture will take you right to the retiring products.

Want to play with some of the retiring stamps before they are gone? Join me tomorrow evening for my Make it Monday event of creating cards and visiting with friends. Cards are 2/$5.00 and you can make as many as you have time for between 7 and 9 pm. Please RSVP so kits are ready for you!

Happy Stamping!

What? My favourite colours are going?? Check it out here!

Retiring Products

Have you heard the exciting news about the Retirement List and Colour Refresh? It's been 5 years since Stampin' Up! has made a colour change and I think this spring is the perfect time for a good spring cleaning, so we can bring in new colours we'll love!

I've had questions about retiring bundles. All bundles, sets of coordinating stamps and dies or punches bundles so you save 10%, are retiring. However, quite a few will still be available separately in the new catalogue. You can look online here to see which stamps are retiring or contact me if you have questions. Remember retiring items are only available while supplies last, so don't wait!

Let's have a celebratory send off for the colours leaving in the Colour Refresh. I've listed them all below.
If you love these colours make sure you get your ink refill and cardstock ordered soon as they are going quickly!

Sunday Share - Fun options for Lots of Happy Card Kits

Have you had a chance to look at the Lots of Happy Card kit yet?  You can make 20 cards in 5 designs and 4 different sizes - and have lots of choices ready to go at a moment's notice. You can even set aside the greeting piece and stamp it when you know what occasion you are using the card for - how's that for being organized?? Check out my earlier post last week to get all the details on the kit or use my Shop Now button on the right!

Here's how my cards looked when I did them exactly as the directions suggested - the colouring went quickly and the instructions were so clear that I had the cards ready in no time! I used the Blender Pens to smooth out the pencil lines. And the matching envelopes finish off the cards perfectly so you have them ready for giving :-)

If you want to be more creative, then take a look at how I used some of the pieces, and some basic card bases I had left over from Sale-a-Bration that were sitting on my desk begging to become a card - all I did was grab a couple of different Watercolor Pencils from the "big box" in the Annual Catalogue (click here to find them) and used them to coordinate with the cardstock.

Then I took one of the smallest card bases, cut it in half and created two mini gift cards to add to a hostess gift when you are visiting - perfect to add to a bottle of wine, some flowers or any other treat where you want to say thank you! I trimmed off the other words once I stamped the greeting, and left only the "thank you" part. Easy to do when you don't want the whole greeting! Here's how they look - and I used some more of the ribbon included in the kit (I also ironed the ribbon before I started so it lay flat on my cards!)
Remember all the kits are currently available (click here) but if you want to get them before they sell out (and the new catalogue will be coming June 1st) then I recommend ordering soon so you know you will have them. Once the retired list is published May 1st, those items will be "while quantities last" and are usually one of the first to sell out.

Get creative with your kits, or do them as the guide suggests - it's up to you!

Happy Stamping!

Need lots of cards in a hurry? Check out the Lots of Happy Card Kit - it's perfect for any occasion!!

The Lots of Happy Card Kit can come to your rescue and give you 20 handmade cards ready to send in no time at all - you can even leave off the greeting until you decide who the card is going to and for what occasion! It's really the perfect solution for making cards quickly and having some relaxing creative time too!
Here's the kit (above) as pictured in the Occasions Catalogue on p 15 and you can order a refill kit too so you have even more cards ready to go. The kit has a mini package of Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils included and the stamp set and ink spot too, so you only need your choice of adhesive to quickly put the cards together. You can order now by clicking this link here and it will be on it's way to you! I love the kits to take away with me and love the quiet times when I can create a few cards and have them ready to use - and you never know when you might need a card while you are visiting another place!

Here's what's in the kit (details under picture as listed by Stampin' Up!):

Stampin' Up! created this fun video to give you a quick look at the variety of cards in this kit - so take a look and then order now!

Check back with me on my Sunday Share blog feature when I will share some of the alternate projects I created with the kit using some of my supplies on hand - while making the kit "as is" is quick and easy, ( and I always make at least one of each design in the kit) sometimes it's fun to add something different from your supplies on hand.

If you like working with card kits (or think you might like using our kits), then check out this link to my store which lists all the different kits available for either the Annual or Occasions Catalogues . . .  I can promise you a fun time!! And you don't need a ton of supplies either so perfect for travel or relaxing with your friends, grand-kids or ???

Sunday Share - Happy Easter - Cards with my friends at The Wesbrooke

Happy Easter to you!

I had another card class recently at The Wesbrooke in Pitt Meadows and had so much fun with the ladies who attend my monthly events. They do look forward to what we are going to make and are quick to catch on and put together the kits I bring for them.

Here's the cards we made the last visit -

The card above used some retired papers on the card and the envelope but is easy to create with any of the current papers/stamps in the catalogue too.

And this card is all current products - such a pretty shine on the silver Foil Acetate

And here they are showing off their projects -

I even made their daily notice board so they remember to come and see me in the crafting area - a lovely bright space for everyone to gather at the large tables! And afterwards, a cup of tea or coffee and some goodies from the kitchen!

Thanks ladies for making my day! Here's a couple of the treat boxes I brought to share with them -

If you would like any of the products shown in my samples, then click on this link here and shop my online store - quick, convenient and delivered right to your home!

Happy Easter and Happy Stamping!
