Retiring Products List is Out - Time to Shop Now!!

Last-Chance Products

Stampin' Up! has just released the list of retiring products! Now is the time to get those last items off your wish list ordered before they are gone.

Here's my Top 3 things to know about the Retirement List:

1. In Colors: All 2018-2020 In Color inks, paper, and embellishments are retiring. These items usually sell out quickly so don't forget to add ink refills and extra cardstock for your craft stash. Check out the In Color samples below for color inspiration. You don't want to miss having these bright, happy colors in your collection!

2. Stamps vs. Accessories: Retiring stamps are available through June 2nd. All other retiring items, such as paper, embellishments, and dies are only available while supplies last, so you don't want to wait and miss out.

3. Bundles: Bundles, with their 10% savings, all retire! Even if the bundle items carryover to the next catalog the discount does not usually so save on bundles while you can.

Don't Panic!! Stampin' Blends are not retiring BUT they will be newly packaged in Combo Packs of 2 (Light + Dark) with the new catalogue - so if you want single shades order them while you can.
Snail Adhesive is retiring BUT a new tape runner is coming in the new catalogue and looks to be fantastic!! It will be available in two types - regular and super strong :-) I can help you stock up on Snail now!

Remember to use my Host Code for April  46KJVTAQ when you shop, so I know to include you in my month end thanks yous!!

Happy Stamping!

I love having the options and I love having the kits for making cards when I need them most!

As a Paper Pumpkin subscriber in May you'll get to be among the first to get your inky fingers on new In Colors from the upcoming 2020-2021 Annual Catalog - membership has it's perks!

May's Kit contains supplies for 12 cards and envelopes.

8 cards are traditional size

4 cards are note card size

Plus, stamps, ink, and embellishments to complete the cards!

Sunday Share - Thinking of You Cards in our Community

Today's share is all about giving to our community and I'm showcasing some of the cards made by my stamp club ladies along with ones from me . .  . .  read on to see why!
Our seniors in residential homes are being hard hit with the COVID-19 virus. If they are lucky enough to be in a place where the virus hasn't reached them, then the residence is locked down to any outside visitors and I know they miss the contact with family and friends.
A couple of weeks ago, I connected with the Recreation Director at The Wesbrooke where I had been teaching classes (until they were put on hold) and she agreed with my idea of giving cards to the 110 residents that they could pass on to their loved ones to keep in touch. While it's not the same as a real hug, we thought they might appreciate that someone is thinking of them, and giving them a chance to pass on the thought to another person.
Last Friday, each resident received their cards and we are hoping they brought a smile to their faces. And after they have looked at the card, they can write inside and mail it to someone special in their world.
My Stamp Club ladies were ready to help when I asked if any of them could donate a few cards - I was super happy to get about 60 cards from them to use for the project and I pulled some from my sample card boxes and made more to take to The Wesbrooke last week.

I hope you enjoy looking at the cards and maybe getting some ideas for you to make a card or two to send to someone who might be alone and missing the regular contact with people. For the cost of a stamp and few card making supplies, I know we can make a difference! If you'd like to make cards with me (virtually) then stay tuned for some new ways of doing my Coffee and Cards events until we can meet in person again :-)
A reminder from Pooh Bear: Next month I will be getting the new Annual Catalogues - if you would like me to mail yours, instead of you picking it up at my box then let me know now (message or email is great) as I close my mailing option April 28th!! If you live out of town, and have shopped with me in the last year, then you are already on my list (and thank you!)
Need to add to your cardstock, adhesives or inks?? If you LOVE the 2018-2020 In Colors that are retiring in June, better get them now. As soon as the retired list comes out they will go fast!! You can shop here anytime and get your orders delivered to your door and I will always send you a thank you at the end of the month! Kylie's Demo Training Blog Hop April 2020 - Making Magic With Vellum

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Monthly Team Blog Hop! I really hope you check out all our posts and get inspiration from these amazing demonstrators to create your own projects.

I’m Ginny Duncan from Maple Ridge, BC Canada and I’m so happy you stopped by today! Our world has certainly changed since we last hopped together but one thing hasn't changed and that is our desire to reach out to each of you and share our creativity and hopefully inspire you to share some love in your family or neighbourhood by making projects or cards and mailing them or dropping them off at someone's door. We are all staying at home unless we have to go out then the rule is "social distancing" and trying to keep us all safe.

Today I'm sharing some ways to use that package of Vellum Cardstock you have and might be wondering (like some of my crafters) why did I buy that??

Vellum is perfect to add so much texture to a card or layout without adding a ton of bulk or weight so ideal to mail, or to incorporate into your layout pages.
My first sample above uses Vellum in an easy way - pick a favourite die and use it to give you a subtle but fun background for your greeting on a card. I used the swirl from the Painted Labels Dies to create this background - and it doesn't compete or take away from that gorgeous Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.
The picture above shows you how to add some adhesive to Vellum so it won't show - grab your Silicone Mat, a couple of dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and a piece of Stampin' Sponge. Wipe it across your cardstock where you want your vellum pieces to stick and presto it's done! Use the sponge to add adhesive to the back of intricately cut die pieces for a no mess solution. And for the inside of the card, I added a Vellum layer scored in half, and attached a greeting layer using the same adhesive trick. The inside greeting says "thinking of you with all my heart" from the Mini Catalogue's Peaceful Moments Stamp set.
This picture shows the finished card and the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding holds the inside Vellum layer in place - no adhesive required! I coloured the outline of the die cut poppy (on the back) with my Dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends. I did add a few Vellum pieces from the Peaceful Poppy Elements to the card as well as the die cuts from the Poppy Moments Dies.
This card really shows what running Vellum through one of your embossing folders can do - this was the Scripty 3D embossing folder and it sure makes an impact on the card front and tones down the pattern on the DSP at the same time. What do you think of the effect?
My final card today shows how you can dress up a Basic Black Cardstock frame with Vellum run through the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and create a really different element to your card layer - I think whoever gets this card will really know that I'm wanting to help them celebrate their special day! I used the Whisper White Craft Ink for the greeting and some of the Peaceful Poppies Sequins for the bling. I was super happy with the end result :-)

Want to make these projects yourself?? If you are in Canada I would be happy to have you shop with me (click on this link or message me). Please use my current Host Code (for April it is 46KJVTAQ ) so I can send my thank-you at the end of the month.

I'm ending my post today with the words of our Provincial Health Office Dr. Bonnie Henry, who closes off each daily update to us with the following message which really resonates with me and many others -
Be kind. Be calm. Stay safe.

Thanks for taking the time to visit and read my post today - virtual hugs to each of you!

Sunday Share - Country Club Designs for Our Special Men

The Mini Catalogue Inspiration

Country Club Suite

We may not be able to visit with the dads or special men in our lives right now (if we don't live with them), but that doesn't mean we can't show them that we are thinking of them on their special day.

This year celebrate Dad like the champion he is. The Country Club Suite is a classic blend of argyle, plaid, and iconic golf images. It's perfect for Father's Day, masculine birthday cards, and sporty themed projects and layouts too.

The Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder is sure to be a hit for everything from Father's Day to birthdays (and yes, even to baby showers), so you'll definitely want it on your shopping list!

This card is rich in colour, texture, and details. It features heat embossing, dry embossing, and distressing techniques. This card will score you a hole-in-one this Father's Day or birthday!

Take care. Stay healthy. #makeacardsendacard to someone special

Happy stamping!

Ginny
