Sunday Share - A Sketch For Easter and Retiring Lists!😢😢

If you got my newsletter on Wednesday, then you saw the sketch and card I shared with you - here's a couple more cards I made to send for Easter using the same sketch. I really liked it as it's clean and easy to pull together with any papers, stamps and die cut or punched bits you might have on your desk.

Here's a reminder of the sketch -

And here is the first card I made using the Easter Bunny Stamp Set and coordinating punch . . .so cute! I did fussy cut the butterfly to perch on the bunny's nose and the bunny and background Designer Series Papers are retired but perfect for the card. I added an eye with the Matte Black Dots.

The second card used some almost purple background, so perfect for an Easter card . . . . .

Which one is your favourite??

Here's my links to the retiring lists for the Annual catalogue and the Spring Mini  - lots on sale starting April 9th so make your list and be ready to shop . . .but if you really want something I'd recommend getting it now as it could sell out by the 9th and then you'd be super sad 😢

Sunday Share - Happy Family Day Long Weekend Sketch

It's Family Day in British Columbia today and I must admit the weekend has kinda got away from me so this post is a day late, but it is in time to celebrate Family Day - do you have a holiday today? If yes, what's going to make it special for you??  We are hanging out at home, enjoying the sun and I'm doing some crafting (surprise!!) and working on my crafting area organization.

I shared a sketch and card idea in my weekly newsletter and wanted to show you how you can change it up with different papers and have a variety of cards ready to send . . . . I really like this DSP that you can earn for free with the current Sale-a-Bration promotion - only until February 29th and then it's gone forever!

This is fun card for a birthday and inside you can add your personal touch . . .

And this message would be perfect to let someone know you are thinking of them! Love the happy birds on this Flight & Airy paper and did I mention that it's FREE with any $60 purchase?? Both greetings are from Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set in the Spring Mini - link on my sidebar if you don't have a paper copy handy.

Love this stamp and punch bundle. Sadly the punch isn't available again until mid April but that shows how popular this bundle has been!!  Watch for it to come back so you can get it too!

Shop now while the specials are on and get rewarded for ordering - each $60 pre-tax and shipping gets you a pick of the items in the list so don't delay!  And if your order is under $200 use my current Host Code AVTJW7BV to get in on the end of month draws for sharing Host Rewards - easy and fun if the wheel calls your name!

Want the ultimate shopping bundle - join my team and get so much extra free product and no shipping on your started kit . . . it's a great deal for budget shoppers as you earn discounts on all your purchases, and if you don't meet the next quarterly minimums, then no big deal - you are done with no regrets. See more info in the video above, or connect with me to get you started on your fun crafting journey 😉💕

Sharing Sale-a-Bration With FREE Products Flight & Airy

Today I'm sharing two cards I made recently using the sketch from my newsletter on Saturday.  It's such a great sketch to use and works for any papers and any occasion . . . . give it a try and I know you'll be keeping it handy!!

I grabbed my FREE pack of  Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper and picked one pattern that made me think of spring (while we are still feeling the effects of last week's snow!!).  I thought Boho Blue Cardstock would be a good contrast and was pretty happy with the way it looked even when it was cut up on my workspace. The other side of the paper was perfect in Pecan Pie for the contrast strip I wanted.

I stamped both greetings from the Layering Leaves stamp set in the Annual Catalogue with Boho Blue Ink, and added some Garden Green leafy trim bits that were still on my desk from Christmas (great way to use up and clear off my desk too!)

I thought the Copper Clay Jute Trim was a close enough match for the colours in the DSP so it got wrapped around the cross piece of Boho Blue cardstock and then I made a small bow and stuck it on the side with a couple of glue dots.  My envelopes got a bit of the DSP on the back flap - what do you think of my Flight & Airy cards??

I hope you like this alternate from my project last week - I'd love to see your cards so please share them on my Facebook page or in a quick message!

Want to get started on your shop with me - use this link and you'll be on your way!  Use my current Host Code NUDKGRFU to get in my monthly draws for sharing rewards . . .  you never know when the wheel might pick you! If your order is $200 or more, you will get your own Host Rewards so please don't use my Host Code.

Did you know that during January and February you can choose FREE items from the Sale-a-Bration flyer for every $60 in spending?  Yay for FREE products and are they ever great this year - you will have a hard time choosing!! Click on my sidebar graphic to look through the flyer or on the picture below:

Here's the details in a video on Sale-a-Bration for you - let me know if I can help with your shopping as I know you don't want to miss out!!

Do you still need a paper copy of the Spring Mini and Sale-a-Bration flyer?? Ask me to save you one - I still have a few left!!

Happy stamping,

Ginny

Sunday Share - A Twist on a Sketch and World Card Making Day Rewind!

It's time to take a look at a sketch I'm featuring in my newsletter later this week - but I wanted to share with you an alternate using the All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Papers - there is hardly any stamping on these cards so they are quick to put together.  I love how the shine shows up in my pictures!!

Here's a close look at some of those shiny papers!

Die cut a couple of different shapes for the card front from the Nested Essentials Dies, and you've got some lovely cards ready to send.  My card bases are both Pretty Peacock, but one highlights the Moody Mauve DSP for a change of pace . . . birthday greetings from Artistically Inked and the Thank You sentiment is from Earthen Textures as are the die cut leaves.

And here's the sketch that inspired the cards and my upcoming newsletter project too!

You can see how I turned the sketch on it's side for the birthday card - it's an easy thing to do and changes the whole look of your cards. Which is your favourite?? Share what you do on my Facebook page 😉💕

Did you miss some of the events during World Card Making Day?? Here's the rewind so you can catch all the details now . . .  the video will be available until the end of the day October 31st so grab your cardstock and watch it now!!

I had some major technical issues with my pictures not downloading so I could watermark and add them so this is a short post to remind you what you can do with supplies you have on hand!!

Shopping time?? Use this link and get started!

Happy stamping!

Sunday Share - A New Sketch Challenge Just For You!

Happy Sunday - time for a sketch challenge to help you get creative . . . sometimes we need that little jump start to get the ideas flowing and sketches are a great way to help you out! You can use the sketch as it is, turn it on it's side or upside down, or change up the elements as you want . . .  it's your card you are making and the sketch is to use as you wish!

This sketch comes from page 58 of the Spring Mini (yes, it will soon be retired) and I liked the layering on the Kraft Gift Box the concept artist shared but decided to try using it on the Kraft Notecards and Envelopes pack instead.

This pack actually comes with it's own box that you make up, then you can add some decorated notecards and you've got a gift ready to go!   The Kraft Notecards and Envelopes pack will be carried over into the new Annual Catalogue - yay!

I did use some of the Enjoy The Journey DSP, Three Twine Combo Pack and Enamel Sticker Icons as well as the sentiments from the Greatest Journey Stamp Set in case you want to get them.  The dies are sadly sold out. Take a closer look and you will see where I stamped the background on the notecard base, and on the front of the envelope.  In the picture below you can see the strip of DSP I added to the back of the envelope flap. It's a great way to use up the strips you find on your desk and ties the card and envelope together too.

You can share your sketch cards on my Facebook page or send me a message - I'd love to see what you do with the sketch!

The Last Chance items have been selling out for both retiring catalogues - the 2022-2023 Annual and the 2023 Spring Mini - so if you still have some items you want then check my online store and order right away. Use my current Host Code 4WKVCUNQ to get in on the draws at the end of the month - it's a fun time when the wheel picks your name to share in the rewards!

Happy stamping!

Sunday Share - An Inspiration Sketch with a Warm Welcome!

Good morning - I know a day late but the intent was there! Today I'm sharing another sketch for you and this is another one that will help you with those scraps and smaller pieces of Designer Series Papers that you didn't want to throw away! I took the sketch from p 83 in the Spring Mini using the Warm Welcome Bundle for my cards.

I also used some of the Regency Park DSP on p 31 as there are so many pretty flower combinations on the one side, then some great neutral designs on the flip side . . .  love our two-sided DSP with all the choices!!

The card base is a standard size in Petal Pink and I saved the other half sheet for my alternate card below.  I usually make two cards while I have all my supplies out and ready - even if I don't add a greeting right away, I'm pretty much ready for the next occasion when I need a card in a rush.

Do you have cards ready to use or are you more the last minute "I need a card NOW" kind of crafter?

After I had cut my supplies for the second card, I realized it looked better landscape so I turned it around and was quite happy with the results . . . the paper is a Free gift from Sale-a-bration called Favored Flowers and is a 12" x 12" pack of papers with lots of options on the back side too! Love 💕 the colours in this package! I die cut the stamped floral image from the Framed Florets Bundle on p 65 then coloured it with some coordinating Stampin' Blends.

A reminder to stock up on any In Color products you might be low on as it won't take long before they will start selling out as the current five (Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia) go away when the Annual Catalogue expires on May 1st. Adding these items to your orders will help you get to the magic $60 total where you can choose a FREE gift from the Sale-a-bration flyer but only until February 28th, and then Sale-a-bration is gone for another year 😒😢

And if your wish list keeps growing, then choose "Join" during Sale-a-bration and get tons of product of your choice in your starter kit at a great price and one of the options includes this adorable Mini Mini Cut and Emboss Machine too! It's the best to keep on your desk, or for traveling and in one of the new In Colors coming May 2nd!! So cute!! Ask me how you can get yours 💕😍👍 by February 28th and get discounts on your purchases for as long as you choose to stay. .

Shop anytime at my online store (click link here) and use the current Host Code CXKVWJNJ to get in on my month end draws for sharing the Host Rewards . . .  you can find the Host Code anytime on my blog sidebar right at the top!  If you need my help just ask!!

Check my newsletter later this week for another sketch option too!

Happy stamping!

Sunday Share - A Fun Sketch For You!

It's time for another Sunday Share and today I'm giving you another sketch to add to your inspiration board. It's an easy one and the centre oval can be any shape you want - it does not have to be the pictured design - sketches are meant to inspire you, not to follow exactly (unless you want to LOL!)

I had two ideas in mind when I drew this sketch for a Facebook page I'm on and I'm sharing both of my cards with you here so grab your cuppa' and read along with me . . . .

This card features a few new products in our Spring Mini (January - April Mini) including the new Small Blending Brushes and Blending Brushes Storage (p 67) - the smaller size brushes were the perfect size for adding colour to my die cut flowers and will be a great add-on to your regular sized brushes. And the storage box holds all my regular brushes plus the new smaller ones  and sits out ready to use! I took this picture after I used the new brushes and gave them a quick rinse so they are ready for next time 💕😉

I love the effect I got from using one of the Framed Florets Dies (p 65) on the Mossy Meadow layer for my card front - the little hearts in the oval frame are so cute (and if you want to save them for a shaker card there are lots!).

The die cut flowers and leaves are stamped from the coordinating Framed Florets stamp set in the bundle and did you notice that Stampin' Up! has started to name the stamps and dies the same with this new catalogue?? Easy to remember now which stamps and dies go together!!

The waterclour wash background behind the oval is one of the backside designs in the Sale-a-bration Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper pack (p 6 in SAB flyer) that you can choose as a FREE Gift with each qualifying purchase. It makes pretty cardmaking so easy!!

My second card takes full advantage of one of the floral patterns in the Dainty Flowers DSP - I cut the strip of ovals off the full sheet and then cut one down to 3 7/8" x 4 3/4" before matting on Crushed Curry and Garden Green cardstock layers. I got my colour choices from the list that Stampin' Up! provides on each pack of DSP - it's always there for you to check!

How perfect is this greeting (stamped in Garden Green ink) for that someone special that you are sending this card to?  All you need to add inside is your happy birthday wishes and you are ready to send!

The new Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots (p 31) really pick up the colours on the background and are the perfect add to finish off my card . . .  I added a strip of the DSP to my envelope flap too! Can you see the textured look that is right in the design? So cool!

Ready to shop now?  Click here to go to my online store anytime and use my current Host Code 97AVUSCC (if your order is under $200) so I can track your orders and enter you in my monthly draws for shared Host Rewards. And I send you my thank you treats in the mail too!

Watch for my newsletter later this week where I share another sketch for you to use!

Happy stamping!

Sunday Share - A Slimline Sketch For You

I made up a sketch for a Facebook page challenge earlier this month and thought you might like to play along at home too - the sketch is from the Holiday Mini on p 64. I chose the right hand card as it has some layering and possible die cutting as well as a greeting and it was a fun slimline card for a change.

The basic slimline card starts with a 7" x 8 1/2" card base, scored at 3 1/2". Did you know that Stampin' Up! has Slimline Envelopes #157981 in the Annual Catalogue on p 137? You can colour coordinate them with your card bases, or have a contrast. I opted for the plain white this time and added a strip of the DSP from each of the cards I'm sharing today. (Tip - you can also use your retired Envelope Punch Board to make your envelope from DSP or use a #10 Business envelope.)

My first card was an easy CASE from the catalogue sketch - one layer of Splendid Day Designer Series Paper glued to my card base, then a smaller layer of the Foil Design popped on top - love the shine from the foils!  I added a die cut element from the Splendid Stems Dies in Pool Party taking my colour choice from the DSP. I die cut two cardstock pieces for the greeting - one in Pool Party and the other in Basic White. The sentiment was stamped in Calypso Coral Ink to contrast with the other layers. It would be lovely heat embossed in Copper too.

My second card was to show how you can make a sketch into any type of card and I decided on a Christmas themed one - I don't know about you but I can always use more Christmas cards and any extras give me ahead start on next year's supply!  I had just received the Decorated With Happiness Bundle and decided to try using the three outline dies with the Distressed Gold Designer Series Paper (it's on p 139 in the AC and will be back in stock in the new year). The patterned paper is from the Celebrate Everything Host Rewards Pack in the Holiday Mini.  I loved how this card came out - it's so bright and happy - just the way a Christmas card should be 🙂🎄

There's still time to shop the Last Chance items from the Holiday Mini - you have until January 4th but only while supplies last . . .  so check your wish list and you might be surprised at the sale prices on many items! Click here to shop anytime!

The Clearance Rack had a BIG refresh at the beginning of December - lots of great bargains there for you to pick up any time! Order online and use my current Host Code 23PXNKQK to be in the draws at the end of the month for shared Host rewards - it's one way I say thank you for supporting me and ordering through me!

Need any help with your project? Message or email me and I'll do my best to help you - if you have shopped with me the past 6 months your Spring Mini and Sale-a-bration flyer are in the mail to you and might have arrived - you can start looking now and ordering on January 5th!

Watch for my newsletter email later this week with another quick sketch inspiration for you!

Happy stamping!
