Rustic Harvest DSP Makes Great Fall Cards - Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop

Our Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop today has a wide open "anything in the July - December Mini" theme so I decided to go with the season and share some cards for Autumn birthdays and anniversaries that I have coming up shortly . . . hope you enjoy seeing all our cards and that you will leave us a comment too when you visit!

I've used some of the designs in the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Papers for my cards - they really set the tone for fall don't you think? I paired the DSP with Cajun Craze and Basic Black cardstock.

My anniversary card also features the Leaf Label that I lightly coloured with my Sponge Daubers to add some fall tones - you can see the difference between the top and bottom leaf in the picture below. I added some Classic Matte Dots to my leaf on the Tag Die for a finishing touch. Inside I added a greeting and a strip of the DSP, and I added a  wider strip of the DSP to my envelope to give it a finishing touch 😉💕


This birthday card was going in a whole different direction until I spotted the two pieces of DSP on my workspace and really liked the black and white designs together so that became my card! I started with an Old Olive standard card base, layered the two Designer Series Papers, then embossed a piece of Basic White with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and die cut using a Stitched Rectangle Die for the focal point on the card. 

I wanted to bring in some of the fall colours so die cut a couple of the oak leaves (I think they are) from the Season of Chic Stamps and the Chic Dies and added a few of the leftover die cut leaves from the Apple Harvest Dies that were sitting out from a previous post.

Sunday Share - World Card Making Day is Coming + Weekly Deals

 


Join us on 1 October to celebrate World Card Making Day. During this free virtual event we will come together as a crafting community to do what we all love—make cards!

World Card Making Day is all about making beautiful, heartfelt cards. During the event, we’ll walk you through several projects, and you’ll create the cards right along with us. You’ll end up with new project ideas and some stunning new cards!

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Autumn and An Apple Harvest

Welcome to today's blog hop - we've grouped together to give you some Stampin' Dreams all under the "Autumn" theme. Please enjoy all our creativity and do leave a comment when you visit! We love getting feedback on our projects 😉💕 from you!!

I wanted to use the Apple Harvest Bundle featured in the Perfect Partners Promotion during this month - it's a special promotion with six featured stamp sets that have been paired for this short time only with exclusive Dies. Click on the picture below to see all the special bundles!

Don't you love when you can get dies to match the stamps??  Me too - fussy cutting is okay, but die cutting the images is so much cleaner for me! I do love the detail in the die cut leaves that you can see in the picture below - perfect to add to any card!


I used a few blends to colour my apple image - Old Olive, So Saffron and Pale Papaya made it quick and easy!!

Here's my card close up so you can see I've added in a few autumn themed products from the July-December Mini - can you see the Leaf Fall Embossing Folder on the Basic White Stitched Rectangle? And I added the Kraft Maple Leaf and Amber Gems from the Leaf Label & Amber Gems Combo Pack.

The Designer Series Papers are from the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper Pack - so many great patterns on both sides!!  I added a bit of the green print to the envelope and inside the card too! Check out the products I used in the Holiday Mini now by going to the link on my sidebar - if you'd like a paper copy I still have some waiting for you!! Let me know and I can pop it in the mail or put it out for pick up!!
