Sunday Share - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

It's getting closer to the big day - are you ready yet?? I still have cranberry sauce to make, and some gifts to wrap but otherwise I'm pretty much ready to cook our turkey dinner for our family coming on Christmas Day . . . . I thought you might like to see some of the latest cards from my stamping studio as well as some swaps I received from my very talented club members!
Some quick and easy ideas with our mini Pizza Boxes as well as the Envelope Punch Board - it's great to have these products on hand so you can be ready for some cute gift presentations!
Here's a couple more Christmas cards we did - one using up some retired Christmas-y DSP from last year, and the other with the beautiful Joyous Noel Specialty Designer paper in the Holiday Catalogue . . and time is winding down to get your faves from this catalogue so if you want any products then I'd recommend you order now (click here) before they runs out for good!
And my last share for the year is showcasing the Wishing You Well stamp set which made some great Christmas cards (the one above and below), but is also perfect for any occasion - and it's carrying forward into spring so you can get it in January!
Remember my blog and website will both be undergoing a refresh and maintenance starting December 27th so you will not be able to access any shopping or catalogue links until I am up and running again in early January. I will let you know for sure when all is updated and active again so you can view the new Occasions Catalogue as well as the Sale-a-Bration flyer (our favourite time of the year for FREE stuff!)

Thank you so much for being part of my sharing this past year - having you along with me makes it so worthwhile!

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and if you get some time for yourself over the holidays - Happy Stamping!

Sunday Share - 2019 Occasions and Sale-a-Bration coming soon!

I'm still working on last minute Christmas cards and making tags too - but as a demonstrator I get a sneak peak at the 2019 Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-Bration flyer coming soon and you will definitely love all of it! If you are one of my customers and live out of town, then your catalogue and flyer went in the mail to you this week so watch for it!

If you are one of my local customers then save the date for January 19 and 20, 2019 when I will have an Open House each day and you can come and pick up your very own catalogue and see what's new as you try out any products I have in my craft room!

Meanwhile, remember the Year-end Closeout and Sale is on until January 2nd so shop early to get what you want before it runs out. . . . click on this link here

My website and blog will be getting an update starting December 27th for about two weeks so you will not be able to shop or follow any links until I am up and running again - I will let you know when all is ready and thank you for your patience!

While you wait for the new catalogues - Stampin' Up! announced they are introducing "Cling Mount" stamps with this catalogue in 2019 to replace the "clear mount" stamps and will no longer carry wood mount stamps. Take a look at this cute video to get a teaser of how well they will cling!

Until next week, Happy Stamping!

Sunday Share - Inspiration in the Mail

Where do you get your inspiration from when you sit down to make a special card, or even a few at a time? I know my inspiration comes from many places and today I'm sharing a couple of ideas with you -

I received this card a couple of years ago from some special  friends - I kept it on my desk because I really liked the design and wanted to replicate it someday . . . .

Last month Stampin' Up! had a special promotion that had lots of snowflakes and I reached for the card and decided to replicate it my way - here's my card using the Snow is Glistening stamps for the background, and the Blizzard Thinlits Die to cut the Glimmer Paper snowflakes - they are super sparkly in person!
Take a look at your mail in a new way as there are so many ideas for you to use for inspiration. I've used catalogues and flyers - sometimes it's the colour combinations, other times it's the layout that inspires me - but there is always something that helps me to start creating!

I made a few of these cards inspired by one I saw from another demonstrator in the US - I loved the simplicity of the card and it packs a special message to anyone who receives it - the greeting and the bulbs are from the Making Christmas Bright Bundle in the 2018 Holiday Catalogue.
The good news is the stamps and punch will be carrying over to next year BUT they won't be a bundled price - and bundles save you 10% by buying now!!
Click here to go to my online store and shop anytime to have your products sent to your door - you will also receive a thank you from me at the end of each month for choosing me as your demonstrator - I do appreciate it!

Check out the Year-end Closeout happening now and get your wish list items before they disappear for good - you don't want to say "I wish I had  . . . " Email or message me if you have any questions and I will do my best to help you out.
My last Make it Monday is December 17th at 7:00 pm and I have a full house coming!! It will be great to share some last minute cards and ideas with you! And I'll post pictures after for those who can't make it. . . .

Reminder that my website and blog links will not be available starting December 27th while they undergo some maintenance and reconstruction - I'm hoping to be up and running again by January 10th and will let you know as soon as I'm live again. Message or email me directly while my site is down so I can help you.

Happy stamping!

Sunday Share - Early Christmas Fun at The Wesbrooke

Last week was my monthly visit to The Wesbrooke Seniors Residence to share card making with the group of crafty ladies! I wanted to give them some options for Christmas Card giving and we had a great time putting together the card ideas I brought for them - plus I had a treat for them at the end that they could reuse or pass on to someone!
Here's a couple of pictures of them hard at work -

And here are the cards we made - the first one used the Gold Foil Card Bases and Envelopes - a perfect way to get a quick start on card making! They loved the snowflakes and the glitter!

I surprised them by giving them a third project to make that will easily hold a gift card - it is a quick option for you to create at home too.

All you need is a piece of Designer Series Paper 3" x 12" (make four from one sheet of DSP); scored at 2 1/4" and 7 1/4". Put Tear & Tape on the backside along each of the 2 1/4" edges to make a pocket for your gift card when it is folder over and taped down. Corner round the opposite ends that will be the top flap. Place tear and tape on the back (outside) of the folded over holder 1 3/4" up from the base and attach a piece of 9" ribbon - bring it around to the front and tie in a knot. Slip the top flap into your ribbon. I punched the greeting with our 1 1/4" Circle Punch, and adhered it to Silver Foil Scalloped Circle using the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. While my sample used up some retired products, there are so many options in our Holiday Catalogue that you can choose your own papers and greetings! Just click on the link and you are ready to shop! If you pick a two-sided DSP, then cut a 2 7/8" x 5 7/8" layer of Whisper White for the inside greeting and writing your message.

Holiday Catalogue items are disappearing fast so get your favourites while you can - I will place a final order on December 5th to ensure delivery before the holidays start - you can jump on that order, or do your own on line - let me know!

I hope you are enjoying my Holiday helper Newsletters - if you haven't signed up yet, then do it now on my blog so you don't miss the last few coming to you until mid-December. I really love the quick and easy projects! Fun to make with family or gather with a few crafty friends!

I have one more Make it Monday on December 17th at 7:00 pm. Please RSVP so I have enough kits ready, and bring a friend to share the fun or bring your own project to work on!

And an advance FYI - I will be doing some maintenance on my blog and website from December 27 into early January so you won't be able to view links or order product during that time. I appreciate your patience while I work on some internal updates :-) and I will let you know as soon as it is up and running again!

Happy Stamping!
