Sunday Share - Lemon Zest for Summer's End!

Do you feel sad when summer starts to wind down, and we know fall is coming? One way to keep that summery feeling is by turning to products that can make you think "summer" even if it isn't anymore.

Today's share does just that - citrus-y slices tumble across a card for a bright and cheerful greeting. I do love all the fun greetings in the Lemon Zest Stamp Set, and the fact that there is a coordinating punch makes it super easy to create a fun card with the images - here's a couple of cards I created  . . .  not sure if you can see it, but I added some glitter to the slices to make it look like they were dipped in sugar - yummy!

Sunday Share - Dandelion Wishes makes wonderful cards!

I have some pretty cards to share with you today to take our minds off the smoky haze everywhere in BC. Stay safe all those fighting the wildfires, and those being evacuated - such a scary time for everyone! The pictures on the news are horrific!

My monthly Stamp Club started up again a couple of weeks ago, after a summer break of two months and I focused our class on the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set as there are so many wonderful card possibilities with this set!  Here are the cards we made:

 This card was fun to make - we scribbled some colours on a clear block with Stampin' Write Markers, then a light spritz with water and stamp on the Whisper White Cardstock. Let it dry, stamp the design and die cut with the Stitched Shapes Square die, pop up the die-cut with dimensionals and heat emboss the greeting in White on Basic Black Cardstock. Fussy cut the greeting and pop onto the card! Add Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and done!

This card was a fancy fold card with the card base being the usual 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" single layer, then working our way up from there with layers and some strips cut from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack (48 - 6" x 6" sheets) . . . want to make this too? Ask me how!

I absolutely love the scrapbook layout created by the Stampin' Up! design team to showcase the stamp set - take a quick look on p 118 of the Annual Catalogue - isn't it perfect for some great family photos??

And here's another card I shared with my club - super easy to make when you need a card "NOW" by stamping directly on to our Delightfully Detailed Note Cards and Envelopes - add your greeting inside, and you are good to send or hand deliver! And the last card was one from our team meeting where we got to ply with new products from the catalogue - love the new Soft Seafoam paired with Pool Party and White Embossing. Did you notice the Handwritten Background Stamp I used?? It's new in the Annual Catalogue too! And it's in my online store so you can click here to get it!

Sunday Share - Graceful Glass Suite

Happy Long Weekend - on the West Coast it's BC Day on Monday and in many other provinces it is a civic or provincial holiday so enjoy your weekend (we are camping at Coquihalla Lakes)- we are now 1/2 way through summer. Yikes!!!

The Graceful Glass Suite of products in the Annual Catalogue (p 164-165) are made for colour, and for colouring too! Imagine the sun shining on stained glass windows, and that's what this suite of products feels like to me!

Here's the page in the catalogue to give you a taste of what you can create when you have the stamp set and dies on your crafting table . . . .  aren't they gorgeous?? And the best part is they are easy to do with the products in the suite :-)

I have had lots of fun colouring the vellum designs on the Graceful Glass Designer Vellum pages. I've mainly used my Stampin' Blends as you will see in each picture, but you can use Stampin' Up! Markers, Watercolor Pencils, or even the Classic Stampin' Ink Pads and a Blender Pen to get the effect you want! The vellum sheets come in 12 designs (you get 2 of each) and some are panels that can be cut to use on more than one card - you will love what this vellum and some colouring will do for your card creations!

I backed each piece of vellum with Whisper White Cardstock cut to fit so the colouring would pop - except on the bookmark, where I used a strip of So Saffron Cardstock. I love the effect of the stained glass on each card - and there are so many other possibilities in this suite too.  If you look closely, you can see that I used the new Subtle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the panel behind the vellum - just as the name says - it adds a "subtle" textured effect to your cardstock. I think it's my favourite new Embossing Folder!!
