Sunday Share - Happy Father's Day to Our Men!!

I'm still crafting (from a distance) with my ladies at The Wesbrooke and although we can't meet in person, I've been working with their Recreation Director ,Anita to make sure they have some kits on hand to make cards each month.

This month the kits were all about celebrating the men at the residence, so I thought it was fitting to share the cards with you on Father's Day. Even though the papers are now retired and the greeting is from an older Paper Pumpkin kit, you can easily substitute what you have or the products in the awesome World of Good Suite (click here). You can grab it all and be ready for some amazing projects, or you can pick and choose your favourites like I did! Shop Now and they will soon be at your door ready to make some magic with you!

I did a couple of versions of the same card so they would be able to have something a little bit different and special for their day -the one above is in Night of Navy and the one below used Soft Suede - both with Very Vanilla for the card base. Which one do you like best??

Kylie's Demo Training Blog Hop June 2020 - Ornate Gardens Suite is Amazing!!

I have not paid nearly enough attention to the Ornate Garden Suite of products starting on p 64 in our new Annual Catalogue. You may recall that this suite was a bit of a teaser for us to purchase ahead of  the release of the full catalogue on June 3rd. The Specialty Designer Series Papers are beautiful - lots of gold foil touches for a truly elegant look to your projects. I used them on some of my projects to highlight how well they work together or separately - you will love the results no matter which ones you choose!! 

Did you notice my bits of vellum on my first two cards? Love how that simple addition adds some softness to the designs . . .  and I added the Gilded Gems in a couple of places too for some extra bling :-) I am in awe of the number of sayings included in the Ornate Thanks stamp set - it has something for every occasion for both the front and the inside of your cards!

Sunday Share - Summery Timeless Tulips

Nothing says spring and summer in our gardens like the array of flowering bulbs that we enjoy and pick to bring the colours into our homes. What better way to show "I am thinking of you" than by sending a card in the mail??  When we can't get together, a card shows that you are truly sending "paper hugs"!! Garden Green and Daffodil Delight take centre stage on this pretty card below tied with the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.                                                                                                                                                                                   

Take some of my ideas and make the card your own - or copy it exactly - in card making copying is encouraged and is sometimes so helpful when you need to make a card quickly. Check all our catalogues for great ideas - usually what sparked your interest in a stamp set is the samples made by the concept artists - so use their creativity even if you end up using other stamps!!

Sunday Share - Drum Roll for the NEW 2020-2022 In Colors!!

With the release of our new Annual Catalogue, we get a chance to see the new and trendy In Color Collection too and it's amazing this year!! I admit some years, I'm not crazy about the colours - which is totally okay as we are all drawn to different colour palettes - but this year I love all the colours and can see using them in many projects!

I made a few cards using each of the colours to showcase how well the colours work together, and I'm sure you can visualize them fitting into your favourite colour palettes too!

Quick measurements for you to make the cards at home are: Card base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"; scored at 4 1/4". In Color CS layers are all 4" x 5 1/4"; Whisper White CS layer is 3 1/4" x 4 1/2"; In Color DSP is 1 3/4" x 6" cut in half at 3" and one side turned over; greeting strip 1/2" x 3 3/4" punched with Triple Banner Punch and stamp your greeting; punched flower left over from my bookmarks and add some In Color Enamel Dots. The Lovely You stamp set is full of happy greetings that you definitely need to get!!

Here's some of the products I used to make the cards and the bookmarks that go in any catalogues you pick up from me.  I did arrange for Stampin' Up! to mail catalogues to those I don't see on a regular basis - for everyone else - be sure to connect with me and get your catalogue soon - it's truly drool worthy!! I can put it in my box at the door for you to pick up, or I can arrange a porch drop off at your place.
