Sunday Share - Time to Light The Candles Kit Style!

I was catching up on making cards for our grandkids to have on hand instead of having to rush out to the dollar store at the last minute - and I grabbed the fabulous Light The Candles Card Kit from our Kits Collection online. I took it camping with me because it has all I needed to make the cards without bringing a lot of extra supplies . . . perfect for small spaces!!

Look at the cool greetings in the stamp set - I know I will be using those stamps on lots of cards now that I I have opened my box! 

I really liked the colours in this kit - so bright and cheerful - they will make a great addition to the birthday box they keep on hand for their card giving.

Sunday Share - Yay!! New Holiday Mini and a Special Release DSP!!

This is a great week to be part of the crafting world - it's time for the annual Holiday Mini Catalogue release and it has to be my favourite one every year!! 

I love all the projects we can create using our favourite products in the new catalogue - from Thanksgiving, to Halloween to Christmas and so many other winter traditions too! Sunday Share - Getting a Head Start on Festive Tags and Cards

Once the calendar flips over to the fall months, I know it's time to start planning how I will make all the cards and tags I want to have on hand for the holiday season ahead.  And I don't want a lot of stress while I work on projects, so making use of some of the shortcuts Stampin' Up! provides (like this all inclusive kit) is definitely on my list!!

When I saw the Festive Tags kit (#162485) my first thought was "Wow that's a lot of tags" and then I immediately thought - why not use them or some of them - on card bases to get quick and fancy cards in a flash? 

So that's what I'm doing with my kit that just arrived - I haven't had a chance to make any yet but you can be sure I will!! The price is great at only $18.00 for 15 tags (or card embellishments) so you can't beat that for a bargain!! Look at all you get in the box in the picture below!!

Sunday Share - Colour Inspiration For You!

Our Annual Catalogue is filled with inspiration as well as many new and favourite products - take a look through the pages and I know many of the designs will catch your eye.  Did you know that in the papercrafting world it's totally ok to copy someone's design and make it your own?  Just give credit to the original designers by saying "this card made by xxx inspired me" or something like that . . . . and it's all good 😉💕

Today's card is a CASE (Copy and Share Everything or Copy and Selectively Edit) card from p 102/103 using the Gorgeously Made Bundle (it's really well named!!) and the Masterfully Made Papers, part of the same collection.  I have to share some pictures of the DSP so you can see the detail - the artists at Stampin' Up! made it look like it's torn layers - such a cool idea!!  If you want this paper for your crafting then you can click here to start your shopping list! The third sheet is a gorgeous watercolour scene and would be perfect for a scrapbook layout as well as backgrounds for some stunning cards!

The card I chose to CASE is in the middle of p 102 and I changed the colour palette to this group of colours:

Here's the first card that I made as a Thank You card . . . . using a couple of the Dies which made the lower edge look torn, and the top edge look like I torn it out of a notebook - both dies are great to have in your stash for extra creativity when you need it! The rest of the stamping layer is all stamping! 

and here's the other one as a birthday card.  I added some of the Adhesive Backed Sequins to the cards  - they are a perfect match to the Berry Burst hits of colour that I stamped. The folded ribbon is Bubble Bath - such a soft pinky/lilac. The greeting is stamped in Berry Burst onto a die cut from the bundle - it looks like it's been torn at the ends! 

I don't know about you, but I always need lots of both these cards ready to send to my family and friends so they will be going in my box. Check my newsletter mid week for more inspiration with these same colours!
