Let's colour with Stampin' Blends!

Hi everyone - I thought today was a good day to bring some spring sunshine into our lives - if you are living on the West Coast, then you know we have had lots of rain recently and what better way to bring on the sun than create it with cards and colouring?

Here's the cards I made and they were super easy using some of my Stampin' Blends and the pre-printed cards from my Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack!

I trimmed the cards to fit my design, matted both on Basic Black CS when coloured, and used Daffodil Delight CS for the card base on both cards - one way to bring on that sunshine! That bit of black trim on the lower card is the Pick a Pattern Washi Tape from the Annual Catalogue. I coloured the Rhinestone Basic Jewels with a black sharpie.

Stampin' Up! Blends are perfect for giving you control over how much shading you want on any project - they blend smoothly and give you the ability to be an artist first time!

Take a look at the variety of cards you could make with this Memories & More card pack or use it to help with your scrapbooking pages! They work with traditional scrapbooking as well as pocket scrapbooking pages!

Remember to check out all the highlighted in bold products in my online store (link here), or message me to help you put your order together!

Check the Occasions Catalogue on pages 30-31 and 35 for more ideas on how to colour with the Blends - here's a list of all the currently available colours to pick from - all colours come in either a light or dark, or buy in combo packs to save entering numbers!

Did you notice the "Celebrate" greeting comes from the Amazing You Sale-a-Bration stamp set?  You can earn that set for FREE when you shop for your regular supplies! The "Happy Birthday" is from the You're Inspiring Stamp Set on p 31 of the Occasions Catalogue.

I will have more card samples with Stampin' Blends in the next couple of weeks as I will be featuring them in my Stamp Club classes :-) so stay tuned for more ideas!

Take a look at this Stampin' Up! video for tips from their trainers on how to use your Blends! I will share more videos with you next time I talk about Blends!

Happy Stamping!

Tutti-Frutti Suite - so cute and so much fun to stamp and punch!!!

Hi everyone - there is so much to choose from in the new Occasions Catalogue that it is easy to flip pages and overlook something that is a really fun group of products!

That's what happened to me as I totally skipped over the Tutti-Frutti Suite on p 28-29 until I started looking for ideas for spring cards - and then I had to get it! What's not to love with the adorable little Fruit Basket Stamp Set images and the Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack set to easily get the stamped images onto your cards?  Take a look at everything on this page - did you notice the new Classic Ink Spots and the Adhesive Backed Sequins? They are so easy to put onto your cards! Any of the items shown in bold are available from this link to my online store, or message/email me to place an order for you :-)

Here's a few of the Stampin' Up! designers ideas from the catalogue -

And here's their super quick video to get you in the mood to create your own fun cards -

Here's the two card designs I made after watching the video and deciding I could do those mini cards too! I'm going to package them in sets of four to give to friends as a thank you gift! They will fit perfectly into the Mini Pizza Boxes!

For the mini cards, I used the 12" x 12" Whisper White Cardstock - so quick to cut into 8 card bases ready to add my DSP and other layers . . .. the papers I used are from the Tutti-frutti Designer Series Paper 6" x 6" Stack - loved making them! I stamped and punched the strawberries and lime slices in no time at all - then added them to the Whisper White cardstock strip with Mini Glue Dots.

Once I was done the mini gift cards, I decided to make a full size card and this is what I made - I think it might be a Valentines card for someone special!

Love that DSP - it's so bright and cheerful - makes me think of spring! I added some of the Lemon Lime Twist 3/8" Mini Striped Ribbon to this card - I think it finishes it off perfectly!

Sale-a-Bration continues until the March 31st, but why wait to get your free products??  If you'd like a quick way to earn your Sale-a-Bration products, look no further than the Paper Pumpkin Pre-paid kits. Sunday Share - Picture Perfect Birthday

Hi everyone - it's Sunday and I am back with a fun card to share with you that I received in a card swap from my friend Liane. Isn't it a great card to make and send to someone of any age??

Liane chose the Picture Perfect Stamp Set in the Occasions Catalogue, and die cut the word "celebrate" from the Celebrate You framelits in the Sale-a-Bration flyer that you can get FREE with a qualifying order - ask me how you can make that happen or shop my online store on your own using this link.

The card comes together fairly quickly - here's the basic directions and all Stampin' Up! products listed in bold are available now from my store, or in the catalogue:

Cardstock Dimensions:
Whisper White - base is 4 1/4" x 11"; layer is 4 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Berry Burst - embossed layer is 4 1/4" x 1 3/4"; die cut piece is 2" x 4"

How-to:
  • Fold Whisper White cardstock in half to form the card base. Crease with Bone Folder.
  • Punch the top of the Whisper White layer (4 1/4" x 3 1/4") with the Starburst Punch.
  • Punch the starburst again from a Post It Note and use the negative as a mask to line up your candles (not the punched circle). Fasten the mask down in the centre of the card base. You want the top of the circle about 1" from the top of the card base.
  • Stamp the candles inside the negative starburst in Berry Burst, Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, and Tempting Turquoise Classic Inks.
  • Stamp a flame for each candle in  Classic Ink. Add some Clear Wink of Stella to each flame.
  • Remove mask.
  • Emboss the 4 1/4" x 1 3/4" Berry Burst Cardstock layer with the Simple Stripes Textured Impression Embossing Folder on an angle, using your Big Shot.
  • Wrap a piece of Lemon Lime Twist 1/4" Ombre Ribbon around the embossed piece and adhere to the back of the cardstock. Adhere the embossed cardstock at the bottom of your card front.
  • Stamp "The Good Stuff" on the lower right corner of the punched piece on an angle, using your Berry Burst Stampin' Write Marker to colour only those three words.  Be sure to leave space for the die cut word!!
  • Cut out the word "Celebrate" from the Berry Burst cardstock with the Celebrate You Thinlits. Adhere to the front of the card layer above the stamped words.
  • Pop up the punched piece to the card with Dimensionals so that the candles are visible through the starburst punched circle.
  • Done!
What are you creating on this rainy day??  Reminder that I've got my Open House from 1 - 3 pm so drop by and see all our new products and make a card :-)

Happy Stamping!

A "Picture Perfect Birthday" card? You bet!

Hi everyone - have you ever struggled to make the "Picture Perfect Birthday" card?  I know I have - and that's where the new Occasions Catalogue has come to the rescue! The Picture Perfect Party Suite on page 4/5 is made for creating bright and fun birthday cards for anyone - young and old(er) - family, friends even co-workers - here's a sample created by the Stampin' Up! artists and then take a look at what I did with the same papers and stamp set -

The Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper Stack is a package of 48 6" x 6" papers - all with party styled photos on one side (made from the products on the page!) and coordinating designs on the reverse - this is definitely my favourite party paper in a long time!

Here's the cards I made earlier today and they were so quick to pull together! I picked my cardstock for the base from the colours in the paper - and Stampin' Up! makes it so easy as they list all the colours on the package (and in the catalogue).  You can get any of these products to make the cards by clicking on this link and going to my online store (or email me to get your order in for you!). All online orders receive a thank you gift from me at the end of each month - it's my way of letting you know I do appreciate your orders - let me know any time if I can help you with your ordering or creating!

Cardstock base in Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Basic Black Cardstock - 2 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper Stack - 2" x 5 1/2" for each card (any design)
Whisper White Cardstock - 2" x 3" for Stitched Oval die cut
Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper (green) - scraps to die cut stars (from Mini Treat Bags Framelits)
Picture Perfect Stamp Set - greeting stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, confetti stamped in Peekaboo Peach or Flirty Flamingo Classic Inks on right panel on cards.
And it's all held together with Snail Adhesive to layer the panels, Multipurpose Tombow for the stars, and Dimensionals to "pop" the greeting.

There will be lots of samples on display from the new catalogue, and lots of treats to nibble on while you visit with other crafters and you can make a card too from some of the new stamps!

Note: I have a few spots open for my 2018 Stamp Club starting mid February so please let me know if you'd like to join us! These openings never last long as the club is a popular way to get what you need by budgeting a small amount each month - and learn new techniques at the same time! The club runs February to May; with two months off then August to November and your commitment is only $25.00/month and one month you will be the hostess and get all the rewards for club spending that month!

Here's another quick card idea with the same papers, and the super cute Party Pandas stamp set which is FREE with any purchase of $60 - or pick another product from the Sale-a-Bration Flyer like the Amazing You stamps or Celebrate You Thinlits - you choose your free item!
