Biggest Wish - Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop

Welcome to another Canada Inks Up! Team Bog Hop. This month we are showcasing Birthday cards and what better stamp to use than Biggest Wish with it's oversize greetings and scripty fonts too!

I made a couple of cards to share today - June and July are big birthday months in our family so I needed a few . . . . and the first one has a pocket inside for a gift card. I used Pansy Petals DSP for both cards and love that in spite of the name, there are designs that work for my guys as well as the ladies in my family who love their pansies! I have a cousin who is pansies everything in her house!

The gift card holder gets it's bling from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels and I picked the darker green to coordinate with the Evening Evergreen touches in the DSP. I did use Soft Seafoam Cardstock for my card bases and it works really well with the DSP. Here's a tip if you never noticed before - on the back of each pack of DSP is a list of solid colours that go with the patterns - so it's super easy to coordinate for any look! For the ombre look on the "Birthday" stamp I used a Sponge Dauber to add some Evening Evergreen Ink over the Soft Succulent ink before stamping. And I used my Stamparatus to line up all the "happy" words!

The next card is more traditional and used some cut ends from the first card - worked out really well and took all the scraps off my workspace too 😊. I popped the greeting part over the other layers and tied some Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon around that layer between two of the "happy" words and fastened with a glue dot behind the bow.

If birthday cards are hard for you to do, try one of these designs and share with us . . .  I'd love to see your projects! If you need any products, I'd be happy to have you shop with me - use my shopping link anytime - it really is open 24/7 for you to get what you need and have it shipped to your door.  Please use my current Host Code so I can track your order and send my thank you at month end.
