I'm so excited to be part of our first team blog hop - we've done lots of swaps over the years, but this is the first time that a blog hop has been organized so please enjoy the journey with the creative members of our team!!
I chose to highlight the Dandy Garden Suite on p 24-25 in our January - June Mini Catalogue. There are two complete stamp set bundles in the suite - Garden Wishes with coordinating dies, and Dragonfly Garden with a punch that works so well with the Dandy Garden Designers Series 6" x 6" Papers - it's a perfect way to get some awesome cards without too much work!!
Here's my sample cards based on a recent weekly email sent to all of us demonstrators. There are always great tips and tricks from Stampin' Up! in our weekly updates and this one gives us some great options to share with you!
The first card was some #simplestamping on Basic White cardstock accented by two contrasting patterns from the Designer Series Paper Pack and one punch from the sheet with the dragonflies. I stamped the images and greetings in Basic Gray as black seemed too much of a contrast for my samples. And I stamped the dragonfly images on the envelope front for a fun accent.
The next card features more patterned blocks from the Designer Series Papers pack, and a small dragonfly punched from the same sheet as the first card. I added a few colour accents to the floral image using my Light Pear Pizzazz and Mango Melody Blends. I added Wink of Stella to all the dragonflies for some extra sparkle - can you see it??
The final card is perfect for when you have more time to put together extra elements - like the colouring on the floral image in Light Mango Melody, Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss and Dark Calypso Coral - all colours drawn from the Designers Series Papers I used. After the stamping and colouring was done, I ran the piece of Basic White cardstock through the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder to get an extra bit of layering going on. This card used four different patterns from the Designer Series Papers and hoping you can see how well they work together even though they are all very different!
Want to start making these cards on your own? Here's the link to my shopping website so you can start your order or message me anytime to help you out!
