Butterfly Brilliance Collection Shines On This Sketch For You!

The sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches seemed like a great chance to break out my latest order with the Butterfly Brilliance Collection - this sketch was made for the special Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper that's exclusive to the early release of this group of products . . . . read on!

I took the first sheet of Designer Series Paper - yes, it was the one right on top . . . and ran it through my Embossing Machine with the big die - it cuts all the butterflies in one pass! I decided to use the one with the greeny-blues for my card so reached for the coordinating soft pattern in the pack to make my strips for the sketch challenge. I tucked the other die cuts into a Clear Envelope and put them safely in the front of the paper pack so they are ready for my next card idea.

I added a vellum die cut over the top, fastened with a Glue Dot and a small Gilded Gem then popped onto the DSP strips, which were flagged with the Banner Triple Punch. I added texture to my Pretty Peacock cardstock background with the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder.  I wrapped the layers with the Gold Trim from the Forever Greenery Combo Pack - love the way it frays on the ends!

I used the simple Happy Birthday die from the Hey Birthday Chick Dies which are a special promotion only while they last and added it to the layers before popping onto my Thick Basic White card base. And I added some of the DSP to my envelope flap!  Need to get some products? Use this link to go direct to my site and use my Current Host Code so I can send my thank you!

What are your crafting plans for the next few days? I can see lots more butterflies in my future LOL!

Happy stamping

Ginny

  1. I love how you used flags for those vertical layers and the DSP you chose is gorgeous. The butterfly and the gold cord are lovely accents. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!
