Sunday Share - Accented Blooms in the Spotlight!

Happy Sunday - so good to be back visiting you. While we love our camping trips, sometimes it's hard to do my blog posts when the internet connections aren't the best, and keep fading in and out.

It's definitely turned into a hot summer, so I am showcasing one of my favourite sets from the new Annual Catalogue called Accented Blooms. It first caught my eye because I could see how well it would work with the Tailored Tag Punch - and you know me - if I can get a punch or die to cut a shape for me, then I'm all over it!!

Here's the cards my visitors made when they came to my Catalogue Launch events earlier this month - and they were a big hit as they not only showed off the stamp set, but also some of the new and bright In Colors for 2018-2020. Which colour would you have picked?

Here's another card I did while we were travelling, copying the one from the catalogue on p 19 - if you are short of time, or need inspiration the catalogue is the place to go! I used watercolour pencils and smoothed the edges with my blender pen - a great way to colour your images!

I hope you are fitting in some crafting time - it's an easy way to "beat the heat" of the great outdoors this summer, and if you've got younger ones (or visiting littler ones) then it's a perfect chance to get some quiet time that we all need to balance the more active fun outside! Sunday Share - Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper in the spotlight!

Have you SEEN this awesome Laser Cut paper in action yet? If you came to one of my Catalogue Launch Events this past few days, you would have seen how many ways you can use this Specialty Paper - it is White on one side, and Vanilla on the other so it will coordinate with all your colour choices for a card base, or a layout where you want to have a vintage feel!  Here's some pictures to show you just a few of the pieces I cut out to work with . .

The greetings on the cards and the flowers on the envelopes are from the retired Wild About Flowers set (sorry!) but there are lots of stamps in the new catalogue that will work equally well!!

The colours are Smoky Slate for the card base, Basic Gray for the next layer, Melon Mambo for the pop of pink, and then the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut piece on top!  

Here's a picture of some of the pieces cut from a 12" x 12" sheet - so many designs that can be cut for layouts and cards! Hope you can see all the possibilities with this new paper pack - you can even try colouring with a brayer to coordinate with your cardstock or patterned paper - fun!!
