It's Back!! - Ronald McDonald House Christmas Stamp-A-Stack Saturday, October 17th

Hi Everyone!

Are you ready for a day of ink, glue, and maybe a bit of glitter and dazzle? Each year for the past three years I have joined a team of Stampin' Up! demonstrators to participate in a fundraiser for the Vancouver Ronald McDonald House.  The House is located on the grounds of Children's Hospital and provides a home away from home for families with children seeking treatment at the hospital for life threatening illnesses.  Stampin' Up! and its demonstrators donate time and money to support Ronald McDonald House Charities throughout North America, contributing over $1,000,000.00 to date! You can help us "Make a Difference" in our own community this October.

So what does this special day look like?

  • make 9 unique Christmas themed cards - get a big head start on your own card making!
  • receive an awesome goodie bag with crafting supplies
  • enjoy a catered lunch (see link for details)
  • take part in an optional raffle with some amazing prizes - you'll want to join this for sure!
  • share in lots of laughter, prizes and fun!

All proceeds from the sale of admission and raffle tickets will go directly to Ronald McDonald House!

So where and when is this one of a kind stamping day?

Paper Pumpkin Strikes Again!! 50% off - only until September 10th!!

Have you been thinking of getting on the Paper Pumpkin train, but keep putting it off until the specials are over?

Well, guess what? Paper Pumpkin has come back with ANOTHER 50% off special because they knew you were procrastinating!!

Stampin' Up! unveiled the August and September kits to convention attendees last week (no pictures were allowed) but the comments were that - "the two kits are absolutely awesome and TELL EVERYONE TO GET SIGNED UP so they don't miss out!!"

So here I am to let you know (in lots of time, but don't procrastinate again!) and here's the link to sign up - you will not be sorry, I promise you. And the best part, once signed up with Paper Pumpkin you can buy refill kits of your favourite projects! How cool is that?? Remember to use the promo code HALFOFF and you will be sooo happy you did! You can also skip a month any time if you will be away so no need to worry about the box sitting at your door and you're not home to pick it up.

Here's what I made with July's kit - I followed the directions for a couple of cards, but turned some on the side, and tilted some to give me lots of different cards from the one kit - and the box is great for taking camping, to the cabin or working on with your kids on rainy days. You'll always have some cards for those unexpected events - and you don't have to stamp the greeting until you are ready to use the card. Check out Pinterest each month for lots of more ideas to make your kit if the included directions aren't exactly what you need/like! The boxes can be handy storage for all the ink spots you will get, as well as the exclusive stamp sets. The only thing I added was my Snail Adhesive - everything else was in the kit. Glue sticks work equally well and we have some really good ones! Ask me!
