Giving Thanks With Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop

I REALLY wanted to showcase the Rings of Love Designer Series Paper that you can earn for free in the Sale-a-bration flyer ending August 31st but I was afraid it might sell out before our team blog hop went live, so even though this pretty card is my intro to making a card for Thanksgiving, it won't be my featured product.

Welcome to another Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop - everyone always share some fabulous card ideas so enjoy this month's where our theme is either Thanksgiving or Halloween. I am sharing a card idea that you can send to someone that you won't see on Thanksgiving to let them know you are thinking of them.

A quick look at the Rings of Love DSP on my card  - if you still have an order ready to go in, you can't go wrong choosing this pack of multi-seasoned papers to use. The fall one is so pretty with the leaves turning colour and I paired it with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder in the July-December Mini and some Soft Suede Cardstock and Ink.

My featured suite today is the Texture Chic Collection in the Annual Catalogue - it's perfect for all seasons and everyone in my class loved it when I featured it last week with cards for every season! I picked the slimline style to show off more of the pattern in the Texture Chic DSP and give me more space to add my small grouping of the stamped and die cut oak leaves feature, which I layered over the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper Die Cut included in the Season of Chic Bundle.

I used Soft Succulent for my card base (8 1/2" x 7" scored at 3 1/2") and matched it to one of the Slimline Envelopes. I added a bit of the DSP on the flap for a quick coordination fix! The ribbon is Soft Succulent Open weave Ribbon cut down the centre to make two thin strips - now I have a piece left for another card 😉

And inside the card - some quick stamping (and stamping off too) to get ready to sign -

Here's one of the cards I did during my Craft and Chat event night - the cards were all done on the Textured Chic Memories & More Cards & Envelopes. Love those envelopes with the gold trims! This card pulls the DSP with the fall images - don't they look like I've stamped them??

If you need any of the products shown, I'd love to have you shop with me - simply click on the picture below to go to the product list for the featured card and my store. Use my current Host Code CJVSCDUE when your order is under $200 to get in the monthly draws to share Host Rewards - you will be glad you did!!

Thanks for stopping by today and I'd love to know what you think of the cards I made - comments are most welcome!!

Happy stamping!!
