Deer Builder Punch For Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop!!

Hi everyone - this month's theme for our Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop is "Punches" so I grabbed my Deer Builder Punch and then had to decide what to do! Do you ever do that? Knowing you want to make something but not sure where the journey will take you or even how to start it?

I noticed a die cut piece of Cherry Cobbler sitting on my desk from the Picture This Dies, and thought that the deer would look cute peeking out the window so that started my idea . . . . then another deer wanted to jump out onto the front of the card so there I was with my punched deer in place - I made them stand out by using the Brushed Metallic Cardstock that came back in the Holiday Mini this year (and I was so happy to see it again!).

I added the background using a piece of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalogue and trimmed the edges with some Brushed Metallic Cardstock strips. My card base is Thick basic White Cardstock cut to a standard size (8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"). The envelope got a bit of love too with some of the DSP and a tiny strip of the Brushed Gold 😉

I punched two layers for my greeting background using the Banners Pick A Punch - one in Cherry Cobbler and the other in Brushed Metallic Cardstock. The greeting is from the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set and was inked in Evening Evergreen.  A few Wonderful Gems added a bit of bling to the card and  I added a quick knot to the Cherry Cobbler and Gold Metallic Ribbon to finish it off.

Punches are such a quick way to add some dimension to your cards - if you want to add some to your crafting space I'd love to have you shop with me in my store. It's open 24/7 and orders come right to your door. Here's my link and if you shop online, please use my Host Code T7BQWPTV so I can track your orders and send my thank you at the end of the month!

Thanks for stopping by and please check out all the posts in today's hop - we love getting comments too!

Happy stamping
