Sunday Share - Thinking of You Cards in our Community

Today's share is all about giving to our community and I'm showcasing some of the cards made by my stamp club ladies along with ones from me . .  . .  read on to see why!
Our seniors in residential homes are being hard hit with the COVID-19 virus. If they are lucky enough to be in a place where the virus hasn't reached them, then the residence is locked down to any outside visitors and I know they miss the contact with family and friends.
A couple of weeks ago, I connected with the Recreation Director at The Wesbrooke where I had been teaching classes (until they were put on hold) and she agreed with my idea of giving cards to the 110 residents that they could pass on to their loved ones to keep in touch. While it's not the same as a real hug, we thought they might appreciate that someone is thinking of them, and giving them a chance to pass on the thought to another person.
Last Friday, each resident received their cards and we are hoping they brought a smile to their faces. And after they have looked at the card, they can write inside and mail it to someone special in their world.
My Stamp Club ladies were ready to help when I asked if any of them could donate a few cards - I was super happy to get about 60 cards from them to use for the project and I pulled some from my sample card boxes and made more to take to The Wesbrooke last week.

I hope you enjoy looking at the cards and maybe getting some ideas for you to make a card or two to send to someone who might be alone and missing the regular contact with people. For the cost of a stamp and few card making supplies, I know we can make a difference! If you'd like to make cards with me (virtually) then stay tuned for some new ways of doing my Coffee and Cards events until we can meet in person again :-)
A reminder from Pooh Bear: Next month I will be getting the new Annual Catalogues - if you would like me to mail yours, instead of you picking it up at my box then let me know now (message or email is great) as I close my mailing option April 28th!! If you live out of town, and have shopped with me in the last year, then you are already on my list (and thank you!)
Need to add to your cardstock, adhesives or inks?? If you LOVE the 2018-2020 In Colors that are retiring in June, better get them now. As soon as the retired list comes out they will go fast!! You can shop here anytime and get your orders delivered to your door and I will always send you a thank you at the end of the month! Use my Host Code for April so I can track your orders - April 2020 Host Code  46KJVTAQ

Watch for my newsletters with new ideas for creating together while we "stay safe at home" coming soon!

Happy stamping!!
