Sunday Share - Colour Inspiration For You!

Our Annual Catalogue is filled with inspiration as well as many new and favourite products - take a look through the pages and I know many of the designs will catch your eye.  Did you know that in the papercrafting world it's totally ok to copy someone's design and make it your own?  Just give credit to the original designers by saying "this card made by xxx inspired me" or something like that . . . . and it's all good 😉💕

Today's card is a CASE (Copy and Share Everything or Copy and Selectively Edit) card from p 102/103 using the Gorgeously Made Bundle (it's really well named!!) and the Masterfully Made Papers, part of the same collection.  I have to share some pictures of the DSP so you can see the detail - the artists at Stampin' Up! made it look like it's torn layers - such a cool idea!!  If you want this paper for your crafting then you can click here to start your shopping list! The third sheet is a gorgeous watercolour scene and would be perfect for a scrapbook layout as well as backgrounds for some stunning cards!

The card I chose to CASE is in the middle of p 102 and I changed the colour palette to this group of colours:

Here's the first card that I made as a Thank You card . . . . using a couple of the Dies which made the lower edge look torn, and the top edge look like I torn it out of a notebook - both dies are great to have in your stash for extra creativity when you need it! The rest of the stamping layer is all stamping! 

and here's the other one as a birthday card.  I added some of the Adhesive Backed Sequins to the cards  - they are a perfect match to the Berry Burst hits of colour that I stamped. The folded ribbon is Bubble Bath - such a soft pinky/lilac. The greeting is stamped in Berry Burst onto a die cut from the bundle - it looks like it's been torn at the ends! 

I don't know about you, but I always need lots of both these cards ready to send to my family and friends so they will be going in my box. Check my newsletter mid week for more inspiration with these same colours!

Sunday Share - Patchwork Pieces Dies Make Awesome Cards!

I know I usually focus on bundles when I look at the new catalogues (they always give me a good deal with coordinating stamps and dies), but this year the Annual Catalogue is full of stand-alone die sets that will give you lots of options no matter what stamps you use with them - check out the cards I made recently with the Patchwork Pieces Dies . . .  so cool!

I chose three patterns from the Inked Botanicals DSP, ran each sheet through the SU Embossing and Die Cutting Machine using the Patchwork Pieces Dies, then alternated the patterns so I ended up with three different cards to use.

The greetings are all from the Artistically Inked Stamp set in the Annual Catalogue, stamped in Lost Lagoon Ink. I used some of the new Tinsel Gems for a bit of sparkle on the cards.  

The envelopes were finished off with some matching DSP strips to make the person smile when they get their card in the mail!  It's an easy little touch that really makes a difference 💕

There are two dies in the set and this next card shows off the other die in a simple Night of Navy and Basic White combo with the Color & Contour Stamp Set front and centre (the teaser at the top of the page also uses this die - a hint of another card that I can't share yet as it's going in the mail to some special people for their special day). Did you notice the ribbon?? It's coming in the Holiday Mini on September 6th and it's so pretty and sparkly too!

And here's some ideas from our concept artists at Stampin' Up! - they always have lots of inspiration in the catalogues and throughout the year on the  Stampin' Up! Facebook page and website. It's hard to see on the Happy Birthday card that the dies were used tone on tone to create the middle layer - a neat look!
